No, you don't need to. And until JR reaches 10, his JS might well be at 11 already, and will rise further with some Driving training, which does raise JS, too. I don't think you'll need to train much JS until he's well-rounded.

Well it has been awhile since I posted in this thread, but figured since I actually have a trainee that I am prepared to show I might as well.

The goal will be to make him an OK small forward, as I know that he cannot be great :) Two seasons of inside training including IS, ID and rebounding and then 2-3 of pure guard training should make him pretty decent. What do you all think??

Sounds good . Hopefully he doesn't have to shoot many free throws.

Beanerz your plan sounds pretty good. Will be interesting to see at what rate his inside skills increase with that height. He has a nice set of skills, and can become great SF. FT are a bit of a drawback. but getting it up during season brake for next 4-5 seasons of training should bring it to acceptable level

Great player and i cant see how you'll fail to make him great =)

I should be able to make him pretty good, but his potential does hold him back a bit. A truely "great" SF needs Superstar or better in my opinion, but all-star can still be a nice player.

So far he has popped three time in inside skills, which is much better than I antipipated. The hope is that finishing his secondaries (interior skills) now will be faster than training them later due to age. He is short for a SF trainee but had great starting skills.

Time will tell if he is any good :)
