Why enabling a feature that is just not functioning well?
Beginners will just be pissed of when what I've faced will occur (if it was during a critical game or time, I wouldn't be so happy either).
Maybe that is needed to be reconsider.

We are adding some text in the game manual that will explain the use of those settings and the fact that only "Strictly Follow Depth Chart" should be used for training. The other settings are still usable, just not on games that you need fairly predictable minutes on.

You messed up your player links but I get what you're trying to say (your backup SG didn't play enough in your opinion). In this case, you lost and was losing the whole match. In those cases, no matter which strategy you choose, the coach will leave starters in longer. It's normal behavior, he's trying to win by fielding the best players. Also, I don't recommend using LCD in important games, you should use SFDC.

Maybe one day.... This is not a thread for such discussions though.

You used the "use depth chart until fourth" coach setting. Using anything other than "strictly follow depth chart" can yield unpredictable minutes. It is a known bug which we be handled in the future.
OK...
So, now I've used the "strictly follow depth chart" option as adviced, and still, although "Stanley Butts" had been defined as the only SG (Starter, Backup and Reserve), he had been sent to the bench when the garbage time started...

Here is the link:

Why didn't he stayed on court for all of the game?

Why not adding an option to the game tactics: "Win the game" VS "Training (starter?)", and making the coach act upon that?

From what I understood here before (I've added the quote at previous message), the "Stricly Follow Chart", is supposed to follow the chart with no exceptions...
This is why I've wrote the previous message.

This tip has been posted hundreds of times and many times in this thread.

Read carefully the wording.

If you don't want a starter to be benched in a blowout :

Set him as starter, sub and reserve at one position.
Fill in the other positions the same way or player 1 as starter and player 2 as sub/reserve.
Never set a player as reserve only.
Don't leave unused players as selected players.
Never dress more than 9 players.
Never leave blanks.
Use SFDC.

The coach will use your set subs to bench your set starters. The trick is that you don't let any player left for your coach to pick and bench your trainee.

Additionally, don't forget to pick "Let them play" for foul trouble.

Keep in mind your instructions can be overriden in the final 2 minutes by your coach mainly when is trying to win the game.
So despite what you see written in the forum, you cannot guarantee 48 mns all the time but with this method you'll get them most of the time or at least 45/46 mns if not injured, disqualified or ejected.
