I have to say I agree with Wolph here. BB training is built in such a way that you can't train all the skills of a player, important for that position, to a maximum. You always have to omit something. Let me explain:

If you build inside player for LI, you have to omit SB. If you build a LI guard, you omit JR because you don't need it.

If you build inside player for an outside tactic, you can omit IS. However, which skill can you leave out when you build an outside player? If you take the analogy from inside-based centers, where you omit SB, we could omit OD (nobody is playing outside tactics anyway, right)?

What I am saying is basically how can you save up on salary:

Inside tactics: Guards are without JR and bigs are without SB (works great)

Outside tactics: Guards are without OD and bigs are without IS (wouldn't work so great)

And if two outside teams meet, what is the point of having all-defensive bigs under the basket if they don't need to defend any inside shots?

Same happened when Miami went small against OKC in last year's final - Perkins, a defensive stallwart, was benched beause he can't guard Bosh's outside shots.

And we know that even if nobody's playing outside tactics, giving up OD at the guard spots would be incredibly unsuccessful. That's the problem in a nutshell - and Wolph's on that as well. If IS and JR were to cost the same on guards, it would make some difference, but there'd still be the option to just be driving and passing machine at a lower cost than the outside guard.

I know your talking about the game is flawed here and there. And it just so may be, but until i have walked down that path to find out my self i dont intend to listen to some random person who thinks he got all the answer for everything in this game and think he's proving it by shouting it out loud and spicing with some random rudeness in each and every thread he posts in.
I'd just like to add in here something...

From what I've been reading, he hasn't been that rude at all. You have been much more so. For a GM, that's disappointing.

Furthermore, he's not telling you what to do or how to play or who to buy or anything, really. He's pointing out your team as an example to show some legitimate flaws in the game and good on him for doing so. If everyone did nothing about flaws in systems, flaws would remain. Uncool.

I agree with you, but I understand Manon too. Wolph is pointing out the flaws of the game because he likes the game and wants it to improve, but he also talks about things forum rules forbid (double accounts, farms etc.). So a GM's got to stay alert

I wasn't aware you're not allowed to talk about double accounts and farms... Everyone knows they happen, and that they mess with the flow of the game.. Is that a BB crime to mention that?

Well yeah...from Forum rules:

- Cheating accusations. Please use our Cheating Report system.

I know you don't accuse anyone by saying "there are double accounts", but it doesn't stir a GM or Mod the right way...But Wolph sort of accused a player of a certain NT team he was farmed, so that's against forum rules.
