I never use LET THEM PLAY unless I am training.

To be fair, K-Mat almost NEVER fouls out any more...

Based on your definition we have enough passing. Our starting guards are good passers and we have a combined 62 passing skill points across the starting 5.

But, I'm not very happy with how Patient worked for us. We're through to the next round and these games give us a chance to test strategies.

Where we're missing on your benchmarks are with our bigs.

Thanks for sharing you theories on this. I wasn't too impressed with how Patient worked for us. There are certainly other offenses we run better.

Thoughts on Low Post as a strategy for our team?

And look at the 4 DNP's. What was that, a "Blank gone bad" or something? They had way better minute management. 40 minutes is too many minutes when we are talking about the NT. Maeda went from Cup MVP/winner to bench warmer DNP. I'm sure he could have played 5-10 minutes and SURELY not hurt the team. Come on coach, NT teams are only good as their benches, and the way you are setting up rosters, it looks like Japan doesn't have one. 12 players chosen and only 8 get minutes. OUCH!!!

Erm... I have absolutely no problem with Maeda not getting time as a critique of this game, and with any selection of a roster, if the game's tight (or you're losing) then the starters are going to pull in big minutes. As you well know.

My issue is more that the team shot 28-74, and we played a slower paced game. Amori has consistently been one of our better scorers (along with K-Mat), and he only took 9 shots (and only scored on 3 of them) - and only played 21 minutes.
I think Yasujiro is one of the key players in our team... but I don't think he should be taking 24 shots when the entire team only shoots 74. He's simply not an effective scorer to warrant shooting the ball pretty much double anyone else.

@wolph: yup on Tsunami. It happens. 0 dimes/5 TOs is going to hurt (the 3-13 was nasty too).

@Brutus: I *feel* that LP is probably a strategy that doesn't really fit our team, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the game.

This game is like a scrimmage, both teams are through, Taiwan is usually the better team. Don't be to predictable, but Taiwan's interior defense is weaker than it's exterior defense...... Some games are need to win, some games are nice to win.

Haven't used Blank the last two seasons, just the way it worked out. If the starters are far better then the bench players then the engine will tend to keep the starters in for more minutes. Currently when Maeda is suited up to play he is 3rd in the depth chart. Unfortunately for Maeda we are very deep with guards.
