True, jump shot wingmen (SG/SF) doesn't give any IS. That was one of the interesting results from the crowdsourced training project.
This sounds very strange to me. I believe I have trained IS only a week or two since I started with ny new team (approx 8 seasons), but I have trained a lot of JS wingmen, and I have about 4 SP difference on JS/IS on several of my homegrown/long time trainees (3-7 more than they started with/height 6'0,6'8 and 6'10). This is indeed interesting. Then my IS pops must be from cross training and random pops, or that JS wingmen does have an effect on IS but smaller than previously estimated...

Side questions:
I believe I read something a long time ago that keeping the same training for many subsequent weeks gives diminishing return. Does anyone know if this still applies (or if it was ever a thing)?

Does anyone have a link to rhyminisimons training simulator?

Could be that there is a small, difficult to measure effect on IS from JS wingmen. There was definitely noise in all the training. Note though many of other secondary skills trained were measured, in the range of +0.02-0.05 per week, so that's the effect size that was reasonably measured. Could IS be smaller than that - maybe.

IS would also be trained by 1v1f and JS forwards, along with smaller secondary training from ID and RB training. Maybe some of the IS increase your trainees got was from that? Could also have some cross training contribution.
Yes, I have done some 1v1f, and some rebounding between seasons. That probably explains it. I have changed training, so I never train more than max 3 weeks of the same training, and 3 weeks only if fouls/injuries made it necessary.

Thank you for making it clear to me.

Do the math and try to find the best way to be efficient for your team and playing style. Then you can get up to simulator levels.

Join the Note sharing group of Lambini me stabby and Trainerman and others. I am doing a arcade simulator where the most shots per game is simulated for future optimal simulation of my team. All I have to do is buy the equipment and install it into the Arcade shooter simulator. Got to know what to get and I can help.
