Why would it end? That'd be like saying that NFL power rankings never end. Well indeed, the games keep played. Or more applicably, it would be like suggesting college football polls or future odds never end. People are interested.

But really, I'm not looking for a way to say "my league is better than yours". I'm just interested in getting a better measure of where I'm at.

But more general, it's something for us owners mired in IV (and III) to talk about. Since there's 64 IV leagues, 16 III leagues, and only 5 leagues above that level, there's bound to be a lot more teams spending time, often a long time, in these lower levels. I can definitely speak for that. So, it gives us something to talk about and feel like we've got a future, perhaps. I'd think you'd understand :-D

The end of the season is here, playoffs have started, we can now figure out who the strongest teams in D4 are.
In D3, all of the bots are already relegated, or have no hope in winning their relegation series
In the NBBA, there are no bots
In D2, 4 bots are relegating out of D2, but bots relegate to the lowest league possible, so they will not get a spot in D3, so those spots will be replaced by the best D4 teams that do not win their league title.
Any team that finished 2nd in their conference will have no chance at automatic promotion since I believe conference winners will automatically rank higher than a team that finish 2nd in their conference.
After this, best record and highest PD decides automatic promotion. NOTE: Playoffs do not effect the automatic promotion rankings.
If a team that qualified for automatic promotion promotes by winning their league, their spot in automatic promotion will be given to the next best team that did not win their league title.

UPDATE!!! A team in III.13 that finished 5th in their conference has recently turned bot so now there are 5 spots currently available for automatic promotion

Well I thought I was in a good position to promote but apparently I definitely need to win my league to do so. Why is the Tiebreaker PF instead of PA? Just wondering the logic.

Also your only 1 spot out of an automatic promotion spot, if one of the top 4 win their league, then you would be the next team to take an automatic promotion spot.

Thanks for that link. It just seems arbitary to me. You could pick anything, like say number of fouls after point diff for the next tiebreaker or world ranking (probably a better indicator).

I'm not upset, hopefully I'll beat my dreaded nemesis today and move on to the finals and will there and get that sweet, sweet promotion boost along the way and not have to worry at all.

Wow, I didn't know it was that difficult to promote to D. III. Definitely regret letting a game slip away during the regular season. Even though we just won the d4. 22 championship, promotion is looking slim for my team.

If you won the finals series, you will always promote. That will never change. If you went 22-0 or 21-1 and lost in the playoffs, for example, then there is the chance you might not auto-promote.
