D.IV 12 Power Rankings-through 6

1.Droids(6-0)G8-With a recent road win vs. the #2 team in the Great 8 they are #1 for now along with being one of the few teams to manage enthusiasm.

2.Xenia Chaos(6-0)B8-Also undefeated, they have taken down the 2 and 3 teams in the Big 8 as well.

3.Bullseyes Bruisers(5-1)B8-With a big home win over ATL they have moved into the 3 spot.

4.Charlotte Cappers(5-1)G8-A CT wasn't quite enough to get it done vs. Droids, even at home, so they have dropped for now. Also have made a recent pick up to help with their efforts.

5.ATL Bulls(4-2)B8-Got crushed on the road vs Bullseyes, still a solid team.

6.Suns4life(3-3)B8-Get the nod over GR for playing in the deeper conference. PD says they should be right in that battle for 2nd in the Big 8.

7.GR Venom(4-2)G8-Have gotten off to a strong start record wise, but PD tells a different story.

8.GTown Ninjas(3-3)G8-After stumbling out of the start they have got on a roll, and are rapidly improving.

9.Firestorm
10.Pinoy Henyos
11.Blue Crew
12.Iowa Idiots
13.Twobit
14.Scarlet Fire
15.Wall Street Wizards
16.Bostnmoon89

Games to Watch
Suns4life@Bullseyes Bruisers: Chance for Suns to prove they really belong with the other top B8 teams.
Cappers@Venom: A good opportunity for Venom to take down Cappers only a week after a CT.

I think DIV.10 is probably the toughest league in DIV. But like Jason mentioned, at least when you do manage promote you know you will be in DIII for a while

I am in a fairly easy DIV league and I might be able to promote this season if I manage to buy an impact big man or two, but I know I will likely be bounced right back down to DIV next season, and probably I would be put into a tougher DIV league.

It hasn't been an easy transition. That much is for sure. I had an easy time in V.26 last season, but things sure changed quickly.

Im not in div iv yet but i most likely will be unless my team gets upset but i dont see that coming. I was wondering if you guys think my team is ready for div iv yet or if i should add a bigger salary thrn i have? I have been taken it easy and easily beating teams.

You don't need to add salary if you don't need it for DV. Don't drastically change your lineup until you know what you are facing if and when you promote. As you may have read in this thread, not all DIV's are created equally. If you want to plug some potential weaknesses at the break between seasons, have at it. But the great thing about V is you can win easily while not taking on too much salary. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I remember. I was solely focussing on the cup last season since I didn't make it through my first match the season before nad figured I had no chance at competing for promotion (although I did make it to the semi-finals in the end but would've been crushed in the finals). I remember scouting you and seeing that you had already knocked out some good teams and that you basically played TIE all the time. Figured my best chance was to CT and hope for an easier match in the next round. Well, I beat you (barely) and got my easier match-up in the next round and won that too, and finally fell in round 5.

I can't believe you have advanced 20 000 in the world rankings in one season! Congrats! I will be hoping we don't meet again in the cup this year :p

I think what Gologol said makes a lot sense. Your roster looks pretty decent right now, certainly more than good for a DV team. Your roster may be good, mediocre, or weak depending on what DIV league you get into. Money is tough to come by in BB, so don't waste it when you have it.

My son promoted to DIV this season and started out 5-0. He lost his first game this week, and the roof was about to come off!! He wanted to go crazy selling and buying guys, and I told him to chill, let the dust settle. In this game, he lost playing Tie against Normal, and had 1 less enthusiasm. So a 5 point loss isn't a deal breaker. Coming in, 5-1 would have never been expected, so he's doing great. He's one game away (like all of us) from finishing up playing every team in his conferece. As well as he is doing, I suggested getting through the next trimester of playing everyone in the other conference one time. At that point he will have played every team in the league, and should have a pretty good idea where he stands. He should know where he is strong, and where he is weak. Of course, if he started off 1-5, then my advice would be very different, and where he stands would already be obvious.

So after 15 games, he will have a ton more money, most likely still be 1st, or at least 2nd place, and then be in a better position of making accurate decisions regarding his roster. The same for you, you don't even know what your DIV league looks like yet...if you can cruise through and make the playoffs with the roster you have, and accumulate money, then that would be awesome. By contrast, if you get in a tough DIV league, you may need better quality players just to avoid relegation. Also, all of the leagues vary in style too. If the best teams in your league have high octane offenses, you will need to make a choice in relation to your personnel decisions whether you should add offensive players to keep up, or add defense to slow them down. Or if you have a league with nightmare defenses, may you need particular kinds of players to offset it.

Be patient!

Thank you for your answeres guys. I should have plenty of money still if i get promoted along with good trainees who by next year should be some studs i think. I actually hope i go into a very competitive league to help my learning continue. Hope to compete with one of you next year!

Yeah, that's the ticket . . . . feed his ego on that one . . . .

There have been allegations that Barry Bonds was consulted regarding team testing on Jason's team . . . but it could be rumor. I'm not saying . . .. I'm just sayin' . . . . .

Thanks! It's been a fast progression...but I beat two teams in the cup before you beat me that were ranked high, my league is loaded with high ranked teams, so its been easy to make serious jumps when I am consistently playing teams ranked between 350 and 750 in the USA. Now that I am 386, I don't anticipate moving up nearly as fast, or much at all. Its going to be a lot tougher...but its been a fun ride so far! I just try to keep learning, and adding to my team whenever I can! Good luck to you the rest of the way!!
