I was trying to be creative - keep PD down while saving my better players for the cup... I succeeded in being an idiot instead.

Yes, only 43 min maximum hurts a little, but it was nice since I had a few extra already due to the painful OT on Saturday.
I'm glad that I had a chance to plan out the minutes as much as possible and swap in my older guys.

I did get a chance to look at the game and I did win by about 50 even with my lousy lineup...

I like how an 88k guy in proficient GS who averages 1.9 fouls a game can foul out in 21 minutes against a 49k guy in average GS.

I thought acting ability was an un-trainable hidden trait? :)

I think the verdict is already in. GS and great attributes mean nothing this season. This whole season you are witnessing 10k guys playing straight up against 80k guys and actually competing. In seasons past, that matchup would have meant a total blowout.

Look at my last cup game. The opponents best players are inept GS and he kind of hangs with me most every quarter. It used to be that Div I and Div II teams could save one or two of their better players for the cup and, barring injury, just destroy a div III or lesser team in the cup. If this is how its going to be, there is no reason to ever train a player any more beyond 20k.

thats why i sold that center i bought at the 1st of the season... he was getting outplayed our was only marginally better than players with 50-85k salaries and he was a 130k monster. Kind of killed my promotion buzz haha

very few gaurds in our league should be able to even step on the same court as Billingsly, and I have one of them. But the game has become a joke. I hope the GM's are taking note of this situation that has made a mockery of the game this season. They need to fix the game engine so it recognizes when you've got a matchup of Kevin Durant against a guy who might be able to come off the bench for an 8th grade B team. Even if the opponent might be good enough to start for a D1 college, they still couldn't ever hang with Durant or even Billingsly. That was the fruit of sticking with training.

They also have to figure out a way to put value back into the market. No way these Div IV teams should be able to afford a 60k center, but they can now - everyone can. No reason to ever train anyone or spend any money on the draft. Sorry for the diatribe, but I am quite disgusted by this season, even though I am hanging in at about where I expected to be.
