Fishbowl East Preview

Sharks East Teams

Gisborne Gladiators (196165) - bainsynator88 - Sharks - II.1

Current Total Salary: $ 424 460

Starting 5 Salary: $ 354 324
PG: Giulio Dimai (19462259)
SG: Jarosław Garbos (13624470)
SF: Garrie Addison (18085302)
PF: Gustaw Fejdasz (6023826)
C: Eric Shelden (9890444)

Key Player: Eric Shelden (9890444)
A Pom to dominate the Fishbowl? Who would have thought! This superstar Pom wasn't getting the dollars he deserved in the English leagues so he decided to come down under to showcase his talents in Australia's best private league.

Prediction: 3rd (9-2)
The Gladiators aren't going to stop after promoting from division III last season. They are eyeing for an ABBL promotion and will definitely be one of the teams to beat in the East with this mega squad.

Skyhook Dreamers (196148) - Skyhookz - Sharks - II.1

Current Total Salary: $ 374 758

Starting 5 Salary: $ 347 106
PG: Jean-François Courregès (21000240)
SG: Viktor Csörgõ (19802932)
SF: Ilya Pronin (9584114)
PF: Vítor Póvoa (8158778)
C: Pepe Rasilla (11852896)

Key Player: Pepe Rasilla (11852896)
One of the better defending big men to counter inside attacks. Would worry not only the East but West teams as well but is currently on sale. Looks like finally the star big walking out the Dreamers' doors.

Prediction: 5th (7-4)
An extremely strong starting 5 but after that it completely falls away. A long term injury anywhere could completely dent the Dreamers hopes. Additional depth can turn this side from dark-horse to potential favourites.

Awesome^.- (38856) - Sundae09 - Sharks - II.3

Current Total Salary: $ 421 185

Starting 5 Salary: $ 297 503
PG: Adrian Wills (19609821)
SG: Brent Hargrave (4725894)
SF: Pedro Manuel Vallesteros (9643286)
PF: Muharem Mahmutefendić (13530645)
C: Remigio Eduegui (8011345)

Key Player: Sid Costello (21093284)
Might only be the 6th man on the team but expect him to overtake his team mates and start as the season progresses.

Prediction: 4th (7-4)
Been stuck in division III for a long time but suddenly after promoting to division II there's new found confidence in the team to aim high and promote to ABBL. Will definitely be one of the East teams to watch out for to take the crown this Fishbowl season.

Home Axis (196319) - Axis123 - Sharks - II.2

Current Total Salary: $ 468 586

Starting 5 Salary: $ 316 304
PG: Leon Boise (6912794)
SG: Wang Xinxuan (22175842)
SF: Thomas Friedrich Mayriedl (5766859)
PF: Brandon Donnellson (6047190)
C: Dejan Kuljović (10918386)

Key Player: Thomas Friedrich Mayriedl (5766859)
One of the few veterans on the team. Love to get inside the paint offensively and defensively but may struggle when facing an opponent outside the paint.

Prediction: 1st (10-1)
Rounding out the final Sharks in the East is Home Axis. Currently the team is looking to ship players out the door so the team could be completely different near the end of season. But core of the squad is still there so expect this strong club to fight out with his fellow Sharks in the East playoffs.

Fishbowl East Preview

Kingfish East Teams

The Winnerz (196769) - RazorSharp - Kingfish - II.4

Current Total Salary: $ 368 615

Starting 5 Salary: $ 294 838
PG: Tayfun Özkutlu (7996691)
SG: Pekka Kesonen (11071611)
SF: Chris Johnson (18924084)
PF: José María Viñas (19367687)
C: Mihály Paizs (16869405)

Key Player: Chris Johnson (18924084)
Former U21 Australian superstar Johnson. Still got a lot of upside in him. A well rounded big man who loves a mid range jumper so don't expect to guard him loosely when he's outside the paint.

Prediction: 6th (6-5)
One of the teams to potentially upset a quartet of Sharks making the East playoffs. Expect some fireworks when facing this team as they aren't looking to be the second best team out there but the only winners.

Brisbane Thunder (38890) - Leeroy - Kingfish - III.6

Current Total Salary: $ 91 291

Starting 5 Salary: $ 71 866
PG: Yiannis Ochtaras (17500543)
SG: Stuey Faka’osifolau (18085336)
SF: Donny Hallam (22818769)
PF: Ng Ting Yu (7529339)
C: He Anfu (14843922)

Key Player: Stuey Faka’osifolau (18085336)
Last season he had decent team mates beside him, however things have changed very quickly with Faka now carrying the hopes for the Thunder.

Prediction: 11th (1-10)
Back to the drawing board for the Brisbane Thunder after what was expected to be a promotion turn out to be painful emotion. A lot of chop but not much addition to the team. So unless there's a drastic change, expect the club to be only fighting near the bottom.

Geelong Vipers (38592) - Matt1986 - Kingfish - II.3

Current Total Salary: $ 348 436

Starting 5 Salary: $ 256 027
PG: Harm Jan Bertens (19604989)
SG: Borysław Greger (19853779)
SF: Ace Dispo (13604157)
PF: Sam Rosales (9640956)
C: Karp Kalachev (8163214)

Key Player: Harm Jan Bertens (19604989)
One of the best guards in the East and not only just that, expect this young man to continue improving.

Prediction: 7th (5-6)
Seems to be missing that star power inside to make the difference especially with so many top class big men in the East. The Vipers will be a mid tier team unless they can find that extra umph!

JW City Bulls (38667) - JW - Kingfish - II.1

Current Total Salary: $ 450 425

Starting 5 Salary: $ 387 825
PG: Jarrod Corica (14844503)
SG: Joel Vulcan (12020354)
SF: Guillaume Bessonnet (9406369)
PF: Artemiy Dayneko (14865427)
C: Helvijs Reidemanis (12154701)

Key Player: Artemiy Dayneko (14865427)
A Bulls' fan favourite. This is his fourth season and expect him to step it up with his fellow team mates to finally show just how good this club truly is.

Prediction: 2nd (9-2)
After been dumped by the Sharks and picked last in the re-drafting of Fishbowl league, the Bulls will definitely step it up to prove the doubters wrong. Better get out of the way or expect yourself facing a bull horn up the back side. One of the favourites to take the crown, a bit more depth and will be hard to stop.

Apologies to the East teams for the delay. Each team in the East is allowed one stone to throw at me. :p

I doubt they'll be doing that, Whiteboard. More likely they'll throw balls at you instead. Here's one from me!

+1

Great work.

i will take you up on that offer and will give my stone to mllama to throw when he loses another ABBL title in the last second

also great work WB. I must say, the sharks are looking pretty fearsome in the East.

Garrie Addison (18085302). The G-Adder striking blows since season 15

Not my fault you put him up for sale. He's always been on my radar especially with the way recently how some of our guards have been poorly handled.

Braithwaite - struggle to get to strong/proficient gameshape on a consistent basis.
Riviera - same as Braithwaite.
Bowman - started the season on mediocre gameshape.
Howorth - we got enough shooting guards at the moment, want to get an actual point guard on the team.

That's 4 guards that normally are ahead of him that I decided not to include.

Besides, somehow I can't figure how I put Wazza back on the national team. :p
