that injury on them early didnt hurt. no coincidence you did better after frist quarter. (Duk was his name)

and here i was thinking that it was rabbit season and not the duk season ;)

good preformance. by holding em close, u took care of the point differential which could end up playing a big role. Without a doubt, had the GS been better then u might have been able to cause an upset. The real work starts now. i just hope u'll get a chance to challenge for that second spot without being held back by poor GS on players...

best of luck. monday is a big game and in the event of a victory, u'd really be putting pressure on the Ukraine team (who sadly enough face russia on the final day of the qualifier, meaning that Russia is likely to have qualified by then and will play TIE). A win here would put u in a promessing position, but England will have to work hard on it's point difference to qualify. Cause i got a feeling that the 2nd spot is most likely going to be determined by point difference.

Am I missing something or should there be a game going on?

you are missing a U21 game :P

the view live buttons are available. but it looks like the game won't start. i'm pretty sure it's a technical issue with a leaky roof like in the Houston rockets vs Washington Wizards game of a couple of day's ago :P

If we don't find one, we can always decide that this new second team idea could be a water-polo team.

that could be aproblem. currently, the players sign contract to play basketball, not water-polo... i doubt the players will be happy going from a primairy team to a secundairy team while changing disciplines aswell. we might have a major players strike on our hands. could also be the reason that the games haven't started... rumor must have spread to the lockerrooms

Another great game today, with a much needed win and significant point difference under our belt. We capitalised on their weakness outside at SF. Our defences held well and we came away with an unexpected but very satisfactory victory.

Humberstone was definitely the shining light of the game for us and an all-round team effort pulled us through nicely.

We will need good game shape against Israel, they are a tough team and not to be underestimated. Looking forward to next week already

Bless ya and thanks for the game shape and training efforts lads!

Tough game against Israel

We always knew this one would be an uphill struggle this week, our choice inside men were both 7 GS and we were struggling to get enough Inside men to put up a fight against them. In our favour their biggest big man was average GS but they still have a lot of depth and a very very strong SF that has dominated the other 2 games he has played this season. Backs to the wall we went for a mismatch strategy to exploit the poor OD of their inside men. This was semi-effective but we lost our main offset man at C midway through Q2 to injury. This resulted in an immediate decline in scoring and we lost the game by 27 points. Harsh we thought until we saw that Israel played normal effort against us.

We played TiE because we knew this was probably a loss, saving the enthusiasm for the next 4 games which arguably are the easier of the bunch. we are 1-2 now but with our hardest games behind us. I predicted just looking at the teams at the start of the season a 3-4 for the season so we expect to win at least 2 more games but to be honest, I am hopeful that with a bit more GS from our more significant players we can pull out a 4-3 or even a 5-2 because of our win against Ukraine.

Altogether a disappointing result today, we tried to mix it up but with the injury and effort difference it was always going to be a struggle. Lets see how the game-shape works out Friday and we'll be ready to take on the Portuguese

Up until the injury we were still in the game, albeit looking like we were just hanging on at times. Taking it easy looked right in advance and given that they felt we were good enough to have to play normal, after the game it looks even more like the right decision.
