- Salary floor: Not right solution for the problem. Boycott is right way to do it! If someone is able to compete with very low salaries, he shouldn't be punished!
- Boycott: Finally!! Informing about this after season has started is NOT FAIR!!!
About the boycott others said the same thing and I think that's absolutely right: they should have announced it now or mid-season then implemented it next season. People who already sold or are in the process of rebuilding are now screwed (assuming the new rule kicks in at fairly low amount of savings).
Also someone has to explain to me why would I need to get the fans blaming me if, after I promote to D1, I spend 5 million for 2 starters and I'm left with 2 in the bank. With 2 million I cannot buy another starter, therefore getting the curve of the boycott drop % right (depending on the savings) is really crucial and, with Marin's history, we know things can get very wrong (the best news I have had from the game today is that A. they take shared decisions and B. Perpete was on a very sensible position based on common sense).
One team in each league is likely to win less than 3 games and even more 1 in each third of the season (whether they want that or not), so there's gonna be hundreds of people who will be affected and, while we know exactly how all other ingame taxes and penalties work, we don't have any detail of how this will work. This adds additional problems: if your gates halve maybe you're going to also pay overextension tax. If you need to decide between winning 1 league game or 1 cup game which one are you going to choose?
About the salary floor I think it's about right. Where it is now in the EBBL you probably can't do 300-400k profit a week, but it will still give you enough to rebuild (probably)
