I am excited about the draft, when exactly does it happen in Canada? It doesn't show up in the weekly schedule. Thanks in advance ;)

Cant give an exact time, it isnt like one of the automated scheduled events. I think its a safe bet to say sometime between now and Tuesday afternoon.

The way I would like the couting to work would be similiar to NBA 2k7.

The way it works in that game is....

Each week/month you pay for the number of scouts you want to use similiar to this game. Then you are given a list of the rookers with no information about them and you choose who to send your scouts to. The more times you send your scouts the more information you get about them.

I think it would work in this game but I hear that the draft list ins't generated until the end of the season so they would have to change that as well.

You would end up with the same information we get now but we would have more interaction and if you get a bad player from the draft it is your fault for scouting bad players and not just luck...

Usually all Post and Pre seasson starts when National teams finish the matchs i hope not to be wrong at this

If you spend 40K a week all season, sin't that like I don't know over a million easy???

Im brand new but it sounds like the draft scouting is a complete ripoff. YOu can buy decent rookies it seems for a million easy. So why spend a million to get no real improvement on a random chance of getting a great player that may or may not fit your team strategy and needs. Spend the million on a rookie that you actually need for your team needs and you still have a chance of getting lucky in teh draft and snagging a few valuable guys to sell anyway. You figure you gonna have to buy the rookie you really wanted off of someone and sell your unneeded rookies to people who wanted them anyway.

And for the most of poeple sounds like its the FIRE button

And ofcourse you are helping your country to get good players and win championships in few years if you get good rookies... if noone payed for draft there would be no young good players!! use your brain a little bit ;)

If no one invested in the draft, the exact same 48 players would still be drafted. Spending money on the draft doesnt improve the players you draft from, just improves your chances of getting one of the better ones. If you dont get that one awesome guy from the draft, someone else in your series will, and they are usually from the same country as you ;)

Some season ago I posted a thread, whose name was Draft shame, about the problems with the draft system like skill distribution, lack of knowledge of height and age, global level of the rookies ecc.

Since that thread, since that draft nothing is changed and in my opinion draft system is still a shame, but what let me disappointed is that no word has been spent about future draft changes...and this make me think that Boston crew is satisfied with the actual system. :-/
