Mashiach had not been set to any positions (SB or R). He only had been signed to the game.

Van der velden had been only the starter at that positions. Matas had been the Backup, and Blavia the Reserved.

To summarize all this strategic feature, it just don't work as supposed and expected to be.
Should I wait next time also for a full moon? :+)

Our records show that he didn't set any lineup for that game, hence his default lineup played.
Thanks.

Then it works precisely as it always had. When garbage time strikes, your coach wants to remove all your starters and put all your bench players in. If you have someone on your bench who is not a starter, he will come in as long as there is a starter for him to replace. If you had Mashiach as the backup to your PF, he would have replaced him instead, but since you didn't have him assigned as anyone's backup, it picked the position he'd best fit in that didn't already have a backup assigned.

If you want to get someone 48 minutes, you need to make sure they are starter, backup, and reserve, and that every player you have dressed is a starter or backup to some other position. Guys that are floating bench players will still replace the S+B+R guy.

Whether you think this should be how it works is another story. I know that there's a Suggestions forum somewhere, and I imagine that someone should be able to point you in that direction if necessary. ;) But it's not a bug so much as a somewhat silly but consistent application of the game logic in this case.

[edit: As far as van der Velden, you had your starting SF and C as his backup and reserve, so because it was garbage time, and because the coach won't bring a starter off the bench unless he has to in that scenario, he never came out. ]

In game (43003558) my player got only 46 min, even he was set as backup and reserve player on that position.

My lineup setup was:
A A A
B B1 B1
C C1 C1
D D D
E E1 E1

In garbage time, my trainer replaced him(player A) with my starting sf (player C). not with reserve. He had no foul trouble or injury. I used "strictly follow deep chart" and "foul trouble let them play".

I'm playing this game only 2,5 full season, and other players warned me on chat that trainer loves change your lineup in garbage time if u have 9 players selected. So I used only 8 players, but he do it anyway. This is very frustrating, and I hope this would be fixed. It is not correct that we give a coach clear instructions and that he does not comply..

In the last two minutes of a game, your coach can override your instructions in some circonstances. This is known and intended. Sadly, people have repeated wrongly in the forums that there was a way to obtain 48 mns every time when it is not the case. Please, spread the information so that users don't get frustrated anymore confused with the happening.

If my voice is not credible, jbmcrock is a multiple winner of B3 with BC Törööö : (26712.145).
I will elaborate that it is not about having 7, 8 or 9 players selected. Your trainee is a young center playing at PG, his skills don't suit the position, the coach may sub him if there is a better option in the selected team. Even with only 5 players, the coach may decide to switch your trainee with another player in the final minutes. Unfortunately, it adds to the hassle of training well-rounded players and is a big pain but it has always worked this way.
He has lost only 2 mns of training, no biggie, it makes little difference. When he gets better for the position, it won't happen as much.

In the meantime, if you want to reduce the odds of this kind of sub, you shouldn't have any suitable player to replace your trainee in your lineup. Though, in a competitive game you want to win, it's a risk if he fouls out or get injured. This is the intended trade-off, it is meant to be hard to train and get results at the same time.
