NBBA Season 69 – Day 12 Recap (Tuesday, August 19, 2025)
by Buzz Beat Daily

TarTeam Hands Stark First Loss, Mill City Dominates, Knights and ETBU Win on the Road
Day 12 delivered fireworks across the NBBA. TarTeam seized control of the Great 8 with a statement rout of Stark Contrast, ending their unbeaten run. Mill City Thunder controlled Splash Gang at home, while both Kings Knights and ETBU Tigers achieved the league’s rarest currency — away wins. Elsewhere, the Cavaliers bounced back, Visionaries held down their home floor, and Beware of Dogs finally broke through with their first victory of the season.

Mill City Thunder Crush Splash Gang at Home
Mill City controlled all phases in a 103–56 blowout over Splash Gang. Their 62–35 rebounding advantage set the tone, suffocating Splash’s guard-heavy pace. The defending champions improved to 8–4, sharpening their form at the season’s midpoint.

Kings Knights Claim Road Win at Imperials
Kings Knights went on the road and defeated the Mos Eisley Imperials 112–92. Behind G. Short’s relentless play, the Knights climbed to 6–6. For the Imperials, still in soft-tank mode, this was another missed chance to play spoiler.

TarTeam Dismantles Stark Contrast
The night’s marquee matchup turned into a blowout as TarTeam crushed Stark Contrast 139–72. J. Gardiner poured in 31 points, while H. Slater added 19 points and 13 rebounds. TarTeam now sits atop the Great 8 at 10–2, while Stark falls to 11–1 but remains the Big 8 leader.

Cavaliers Roll Fury
Virginia Cavaliers took care of business at home, hammering Resurrected Fury 115–53. W. Saucedo stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points, 24 rebounds, and 4 blocks. The Cavaliers moved to 7–5, while Fury remains winless at 0–12.

ETBU Tigers Tough on the Road
ETBU silenced the Flashover crowd in an 89–64 win, the second away triumph of the night. Anchored by L. Varner’s defense, the Tigers improved to 7–5, further strengthening their playoff push.

Visionaries Defend Home Floor vs LA Lions
Visionaries held off the LA Lions 93–77 with balanced play and inside strength. The result drops LA to 5–7, while the Visionaries improve to 8–4 and remain right in the playoff mix.

Silverbacks Muscle Past 10inch Vertical
In a physical home battle, the Silverbacks beat 10inch Vertical 88–75. Interior dominance and timely baskets secured a much-needed victory for the Silverbacks.

Beware of Dogs Claim First Win
The Dogs finally snapped their skid with a stunning 115–82 home win over HumanFund. O. Denton erupted for 53 points and 12 threes in one of the best individual performances of the season. The Dogs improve to 1–11, notching their long-awaited breakthrough.

Key Takeaways
• TarTeam ends Stark’s undefeated run and takes control of the Great 8 at 10–2.
• Both Kings Knights and ETBU Tigers delivered rare away wins.
• Mill City continues to round into championship form at 8–4.
• Beware of Dogs finally crack the win column behind O. Denton’s monster 53-point night.

Final Word
Day 12 marked turning points at the top and bottom of the standings. TarTeam sent a clear message with their demolition of Stark, while Kings Knights and ETBU reminded everyone how precious away wins are. And with the Dogs finally tasting victory, no team remains winless — proof that on any night in the NBBA, surprises are always possible.

Pretty favorable draws for everyone with zero NBBA matchups. Likely means all 6 will make it to the round of 32 on Thursday.

I did not expect 3 NBBA teams to get eliminated last night, looks like Stark and Silverbacks thought they could get away with partial lineups and it came back to bite them. Then Human Fund played close to their full strength squad but still lost to a strong d2 team on the road. Can't get too cute trying to win league games and stay in the cup at this time of the season

Yeah I was surprised as well to see that many teams fall out this last round as we had no D1 on D1 action.

I was another team that went down as well, making it four. I lost to a last second three pointer … My fault though, I need to stop GDP guessing when at home. It sucks to miss the ASW round cup game…

It’s gonna be interesting to see from the left over teams who will take it as you Tony or TarZip look like good contenders for it. Plus, you can never count out Plasma as well. I guess it’ll come down to how the match maker treats you guys.

NBBA Season 69 – Day 13 Recap (Saturday, August 23, 2025)
by Buzz Beat Daily

Silverbacks Earn Lone Road Win, Stark Bounces Back, HumanFund and Lions Make Statements
Day 13 saw the league settle back into its usual rhythm — home teams holding strong. The Silverbacks were the lone squad to steal a win on the road, while Stark Contrast rebounded in dominant fashion after their first loss. HumanFund crushed Mill City in shocking fashion, and the LA Lions pulled off a major upset over TarTeam.

Splash Gang Cruises Past Imperials
Splash Gang rode hot shooting and stifling defense to a 100–78 win over Mos Eisley. P. Wilkinson swatted 8 shots to anchor the defense as Splash improved their playoff positioning.

Kings Knights Defeat Visionaries
Kings Knights earned a big 101–89 win over the Visionaries, with G. Short leading the charge. The Knights move to 7–6, while the Visionaries, despite the loss, remain in strong position at 8–5.

LA Lions Shock TarTeam
The LA Lions stunned TarTeam 90–73, stealing a rare road win behind P. Holtz’s all-around performance. LA climbs to 6–7, while TarTeam drops to 10–3 but stays on top of the Great 8.

Stark Contrast Demolish Cavaliers
Stark answered back from their first loss with a merciless 116–35 beatdown of the Cavaliers. J. Valentin poured in 42 points as Stark improved to 12–1. Virginia, still missing Charles Nguyen, falls to 7–6.

Resurrected Fury Stun Flashover
Fury broke through for their first win of the season, hammering Flashover 112–67. It was a badly needed morale boost as they move to 1–12. Flashover continues to slide.

Silverbacks Earn the Night’s Lone Road Win
The Silverbacks stole the spotlight with the evening’s only road victory, defeating ETBU Tigers 111–88. Y. Yu Fun’s 20 boards led a 71–47 rebounding edge, helping the Silverbacks climb in the Great 8 race.

10inch Vertical Roll Past Dogs
10inch Vertical routed Beware of Dogs 130–74, dishing out 36 assists in the process. The Dogs fall to 1–12 after their lone bright spot last round.

HumanFund Crush Mill City
HumanFund shocked the NBBA with a 111–42 demolition of defending champs Mill City Thunder — their worst performance of the season. HumanFund’s playoff stock rises sharply, while Mill City must regroup quickly.

Key Takeaways
Silverbacks were the only team to win on the road, proving again how rare and valuable away victories are.
• Stark Contrast bounced back immediately to stay firmly atop the Big 8 at 12–1.
• The LA Lions’ upset over TarTeam tightened the Great 8 race.
• HumanFund delivered the most surprising blowout of the season so far, dismantling Mill City.
• Visionaries, despite their loss, remain solid at 8–5.

Final Word
Day 13 capped off the first half of the NBBA season with drama on all fronts: contenders showing vulnerability, underdogs rising, and the Silverbacks proving their road toughness. With All-Star Week up next, players and fans alike get a chance to regroup before the playoff races kick into full gear.

I am pretty much a relegation NBBA team in D2 this season so at home with extra enthusiasm is not gonna be good for some of you.
Don't worry, though! I'm gonna draw G on the road on Thursday again. That man is never going to lose in the cup again.

I would actually be scared of Jumpstop Jumpers. He is 13-0 and beats me consistenly by 30 points in pick up games.
