I think people are severely underrating NBA players

Yao Ming is one of the best centers in the NBA, he is certainly top 5 in the world at his position (Arguably the best). Look at the top Centers in BuzzeBeaters, they are miles ahead of Prominent and Proficients. Yao should be rated similarly to the top centers in BuzzerBeater, Kobe should basically better or equal to the best SG in BuzzerBeater.

Infact in many cases they should be rated higher as Yao and Kobe etc... are at their peak, the best players in BuzzerBeater are like 22 still and haven't reached their peak yet

My bad then. I'm just not too aware of what the top players in BB look like, since I play in a low division.
Let me try to revise it then.

Yao Ming.

Jump Shot: prominent Jump Range: inept

Outside Def.: pitiful Handling: inept

Driving: pitiful Passing: respectable

Inside Shot: sensational Inside Def.: tremendous

Rebounding: prolific Shot Blocking: wondrous

Stamina: pitiful Free Throw: prolific

Mine- In no particular order
1. Dwight Howard
2. Bynum
3. Shaq (Out of Respect tho)
4. Emeka Okafor
5. On the defensive end I would add Dalembert or Camby

P.S best players in the N.B.A by faaaaaaaaar are Bryant, Lebron, Wade and CP3. The rest well............

Shaq should not be on there, even if it's out of respect.

Yao should be there, somewhere.

You don't just look at stats. Shaq is horrible defensively. And all the other little things that one does on the court matter.

Plus, how are the Suns doing?

Yeah, I hope it didnt seem like I was bagging on you or anything, just throwing my two cents in on Yao. I think cases could be made for many of the underrated players here, but it seems we started using a scale roughly close to how the BB's had rated players for the sims, which seemed low but the outcome worked (equally low or something).

Its just interesting to see certain teams play Houston very differently than how they play most of thier games. A player that causes you to adjust not just your playcalling, but often your whole style of play (even if the adjustment is effective) says something about the impact that player has.

I think the ranking of C in the NBA at this moment goes-

Dwight Howard
Yao Ming
Perhaps 5 other guys who could argueably go here.

If Shaq is bad defensively then Yao is most def a disgrace. He barely blocks people above 6'8and he is 7'5 or so His footworkis a sad sight to watch. Shaq was good in all that in his youth and that is why I dont respect Yao. For his height he is totally useless. Plus Suns flopping ain't Shaq fault its Steve Nash fault. Put CP3 in that team and they would work wonders.
