So, how do people actually prevent themselves from spending money?

I have 80k, which does a really good job of it.

I've had between 2 and 3 million all season and still have absolutely no idea what do with it. I have plenty of guards and don't really wanna waste 50k/week on some backup big man. Blah.

Anyone else notice the HUGE disparity in value between guards and big men? Quality big men aren't fetching more than 5 million these days while guards with tremendous defense which appears to be a mediocre stat are STARTING at 5 million.

I actually was just looking for comparable big men to my PF to see what he might be worth. Yeah, I couldn't find any comps for big men over 5 million. Pretty crazy how much more valuable guard training is over big men.

Their MASSIVELY higher salary has alot to do with it I think. There are several big men out on severe discount because they are unsustainable on a roster.

The whole Heathens guard clamp down on game flow seems to be a big part of it too. If your guards are no good it doesnt matter how good your big men are, the opposite does not seem to be true.

Does this have to do with me buying a 93k guy for 2M (and no one challenged me so maybe I overpaid)? Yeah it's crazy, the only thing that I think that's stopping most is the high salaries of some. Almost HT-like.

Nah, I just have tried to sell Humberto twice, once for as low as 4.5 with no takers. The quality of player I could get for less than that makes it not even worth it to sell him. Honestly, I can't see selling any of my big men after I finish training them because of the huge loss I would take when i bought a guard to replace him.
