In game (43003558) my player got only 46 min, even he was set as backup and reserve player on that position.

My lineup setup was:
A A A
B B1 B1
C C1 C1
D D D
E E1 E1

In garbage time, my trainer replaced him(player A) with my starting sf (player C). not with reserve. He had no foul trouble or injury. I used "strictly follow deep chart" and "foul trouble let them play".

I'm playing this game only 2,5 full season, and other players warned me on chat that trainer loves change your lineup in garbage time if u have 9 players selected. So I used only 8 players, but he do it anyway. This is very frustrating, and I hope this would be fixed. It is not correct that we give a coach clear instructions and that he does not comply..

In the last two minutes of a game, your coach can override your instructions in some circonstances. This is known and intended. Sadly, people have repeated wrongly in the forums that there was a way to obtain 48 mns every time when it is not the case. Please, spread the information so that users don't get frustrated anymore confused with the happening.

If my voice is not credible, jbmcrock is a multiple winner of B3 with BC Törööö : (26712.145).
I will elaborate that it is not about having 7, 8 or 9 players selected. Your trainee is a young center playing at PG, his skills don't suit the position, the coach may sub him if there is a better option in the selected team. Even with only 5 players, the coach may decide to switch your trainee with another player in the final minutes. Unfortunately, it adds to the hassle of training well-rounded players and is a big pain but it has always worked this way.
He has lost only 2 mns of training, no biggie, it makes little difference. When he gets better for the position, it won't happen as much.

In the meantime, if you want to reduce the odds of this kind of sub, you shouldn't have any suitable player to replace your trainee in your lineup. Though, in a competitive game you want to win, it's a risk if he fouls out or get injured. This is the intended trade-off, it is meant to be hard to train and get results at the same time.

Thank you on your answer on my question. I was hoping that this is really a bug and not intended behavior of GE. For me, it has no sense that they made it this way.. It's another random factor (with the cross-training) that makes training more difficult.

If you read game manual (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thr... , chapter Minutes) more closely, there is no mention of this "feature". On the contrary, the game guide claims:

"...If you do that, your trainee will play the whole game. The only things that will take him out early are an injury or fouling out (6 fouls)."

Another quotation from the same source:
"I apologize if I sound like a broken record but there’s no aspect of training that is more important than getting your guys the full amount of training possible."

So this 2 minutes are important.

If this isn't a bug, this discussion does not belong in this thread so I will stop now, and go to the topic with proposed changes for this game.

But until they don't change that behavior, someone should rewrite Game Manual so that he does not confuses beginners like me and leaves the impression that they were deceived.

The game manuel is linked in the navigation menu, your link is a user-made guide, awesome work based on the forums knowledge but the forum wisdom is wrong here. Mail RiP, he might correct it.

Two lost minutes once in a while have a very small impact, of course, the less lost minutes, the better.

If you are not prepared to lose 2 minutes for your trainee because it's important, start him in two games a week.
If you want maximum training for a maximum number of trainees, be prepared to fail sometimes. The game actively looks to make it difficult to do it. You have to make compromises.

A bit upset, BB. I set my lineup for tonight's game and one of my star trainees (Rodriguez), who I set to play backup as he had played 48 minutes this week already, was somehow put into the strting position. And no, I didn't accidentally do this as I am very methodical about checking lineups prior to mathces. That my star went on to score 50 points at 13 rating doesn't make me feel any better as he may likely get injured as a result of having played 86 minutes!

This is the game in question: (45459038)

I never complain about BB as I love the game and am the first to defend people complaining but I had to register this one as it would be disastrous if my player, Rodriguez, got injured as a result of playing too many minutes not to mention how this will hurt his GS.

Your thoughts, BB, would be appreciated.
