besides the questions I made on (156.42), I still got a couple more:

(1) so the standings of the regular season will determine exactly the order of the draft? there will be no lottery?
(if that's true that's too bad... a lottery would at least avoid teams from giving up games 'cause they wouldn't have the 1st pick guaranteed)

(2) promotio/relegation will be done AFTER the draft, right? a team that finishes last and falls will still get the first pick of the group before falling, and not the last pick of the lower division, right??

in answer to 2) is definitely yes

in answer to 1) we don't currently have a lottery setup, but that's an interesting suggestion.. we will talk about it.

hahaha.

No man, that disturbs the whole idea of the draft that is to try to balance things. Draft before relegation / promotion is the only way. And finantial prizes for the champions is the most appropriate and enough.

And Charles, you are right, relegation is already enough to keep teams from throwing games...

But I would still like to have a lottery draft like on NBA... The worst teams on the league would still have a huge advantage on the draft, but there will be at lest a certain level of unpredictability.

ps: another measure we can have one day to balance the strength of teams is teh "salary cap" and the "luxury-tax", hahaha.. but that's something for the future...

"Relegation is too high a price to pay, by a lot"

This is the way it should be, but I'm interested in hearing exactly HOW/WHY relegation is so bad. There are no supporter totals, that we know of - and no promotion bonuses that we know of. How is relegation bad????

The other question is, how is promotion good???

presumably because you want to be in the best league...I mean what other end goals would you have? Just to win the most amount of games you can? Being in a higher league will get you stiffer competition, will also get your more fans so you can support buying better players, etc.
