and when we raise it, still half of them would be sawn as useless, but it would most likely include starter ;)

Yea, I understand they are behind, but I believe I can still get them up to salaries of 30K to $40K which is really all I need through Div. 3. My trainees will not be anygood at Div. 2, but I think they should be good at Div. 3. No?

I may have only been here for two drafts but I can honestly say I agree with you 100%. My first season I poured money into the draft only to be let down. So with my second season I spent only 50k tops and this new season I plan on spending $0. I just hope I get the luck of the draw.

Also I can't reference this but when I was looking for players on the market, I came across a 48th pick that was 4k+ base salary at HOF potential. :/

Second Team:
Canada Purple Haze BC
After using 2 and a half seasons of scouting for a player I won't even bother to train.
I bought a better 18 year old yesterday for $13,000
He would have been a 5 ball with superstar potential

Not really whining - just pointing it out
could have tanked like some other teams instead of placing 4th
also hoping that finish is my worst for seasons to come

Forgive me for bringing up an old subject, but I wanted to respond to this:

I wanted to just see what the breakdown was for my league, and here is what it came out to............. total number of players for each potential level...........

Announcer - 0
Bench Warmer - 3
Role Player - 7
6th Man - 14
Starter - 3
Star - 6
All Star - 6
Per. All Star - 3
Superstar - 3
MVP - 3
Hall of Fame - 0
All-Time Great - 0

In my opinioin, 24 of the players were useless........ meaning half of the players were useless.

Wow, your draft had 3 MVP guys? My league had 0. 0 MVP, 0 HOF, 0 ATG. In fact, there were only SIX players in the entire II.4 draft with allstar or better potential. SIX. But potential isn't the whole story, as a $5000 salary star potential guy is far, far more useful than a $1500 salary MVP guy, wouldn't you say?

Additionally, your draft pick is pretty good. I've capped two star potential guys that have been very useful; one, my own product, who still gets playing time in D2: (7923262), and two, a guy I bought as a well-trained 19yo who, after I capped him, went on to play for Silverbacks and win 2 USA Cups and an NBBA silver: (9092331) Star potential isn't the end of the world.

Sorry to comment on this with a different question but:

I noticed both of those players got up to about 20-25k and they were star potential I have two 18 year old allstar guards that I want to work on traininga lot through these next few seasons but when will they probably cap out?

I look at it like this:

Star potential: 20-25k
Allstar Potential: 30-35k... Is this right?
