Got the 2 wins and minutes are spread enoughto improve GS. Considering Menca is finally back from his injury and I'll train my 3 prospects again, it definitely has already been a good week.
With the allstar week coming up and still having contenders in the cup, I'm expecting some surprising victories due to minute management.

This was a game that realy hurts. I could have won...but the gods choose otherwise.
After six minutes in the game my top player "the torch" was out of the game with an injurie.
So at the end we have lost with only one simple point.
Must say...:Blégny is strong. On our side BBB did beat the white tigers.
Think this season will once again not be a promoting one for the dragons.

If I would've played with higher attitude, I might've had a chance. However, Yolymapa should always win against me with his starting 5 in his own arena.
Also, Antwerp Angels with 4 out of 5 in top 5 of the evening, that just shows Scheetebeezekes is just handing out free wins ... hopefully that doesn't change before I play against him :)

i'm really annoyed that Kasperovich didn't get a Tripple Double tho :P

Btw anyone seen the allstars? They generally give a good prediction for the PO's. It's kinda my take on the season tho. Blegny United is going to lock up HCA in the PO's. he's waay stronger than anyone else in his conference and probably won't lose anymore (yes, he'll most likely be beating me, because my focus is on something else).

We have 4 worthy teams in our conference (nearly 5 with Krif). We'll take games of eachother. White tigers & Yolymapa are probably on our lvl too. But Blengy really is a cut above. If anyone faces him on equal enthusiasm, then i think he's taking the W. The only way to beat him is to dive into a market but i'm unwilling to go look for a stronger player atm.

29/9, the day you'll regret this quote ... B)

All jokes aside, I know I'm not more than a solid 5th. Considering my salaries are 40k lower than Slammers, and with a player that gets payed 140k a week, it tells the story about the others. I don't have 5 worthy players, 3 at most (hopefully 4 next season).
These 'young' 20-50k salary players have become crazy expensive. And I can't buy them with money I don't have when I should still invest in my arena. As for now, I'm not aiming to be a "worthy team", as the hope is to steadily grow.

anything i say about others can be used as fuel to beat me. I once was in your place Krifl, Had Gerry Fleeton & Marichal on my team at some point (Belgiums leading rebounder and assist players of all time). Having a NT player on your team is a burden more often than not. Joe has repeatedly asked me to give JDC some more training. I've told him no, because then i can't pay his wages anymore.

It depends want you want to focus on. I want a good personal team and i no longer make sacrifices for the NT. if my players get selected, good. If not, so be it. i'm not to fuzzed by it. still i respect managers who go out of the way to help a NT. It's just no longer something for me ;)

Joe has repeatedly asked me to give JDC some more training. I've told him no, because then i can't pay his wages anymore.

not sure that it's a good calculation for you. There will be a lot of room in the PG/SG positions in the next seasons and with just +2 PA JDC is in NT. What it will cost you in salary you will get from merchandising, so the only difference is that you will have a better player.

But you know, I'm laughing when I read "make sacrifices for the NT". In Belgium from a roster of 17 players, 13 of them have a salary under 140k, one of the lowest payroll (if not the lowest) in all countries fighting to qualify for the second round (it's definitively our case this season). If there's one country in the BB world, except Micronation, where you don't need to be a top team or a farm team to have a top NT player, it's Belgium, because we are asking for balanced players to keep low payroll to not have to ask to the owner to put the NT before his own team. Currently in our roster there are only "win-win" players, nobody is making sacrifices to help the NT.

So if I ask you +2 in PA, it's because I know it's not any kind of sacrifice for you, especially for a team who spend 40% of his time in D.I.

look at the players i'm training & ask our U21 coach what is being trained. I'd have to put Vito & Gerber on hold just to put in PA. At his age, PA takes 4 weeks or more to pop. So i'd be sacrificing to much.

As for merchandise, he's a Home grown player. That means that the added merchandise is max 5k if he gets into the NT. Adding 2 lvls of PA puts on 33k+ salary. Do the math. it's -28k per week. So yes, that is a problem for me. Thx for trying to once again convince

So let's make the calculations.
Contra:
-33k per week
- putting off the training of my 2 main trainees.

Pro
+5k merchandise

Conclusion
I'll pass thank you very much.

JDC fits perfectly in my team. So as i stated earlier. Either he's considered good enough and then it's cool. If not, then i'm not going to cry about it either.

Also, when training JDC, i remember being told repeatedly that i should be training a PF because you had a waaay to big guard group to chose from. So no, i'm sticking to my guns. I'm sticking to what i need for my team. And if the NT benefits from it, cool. If not, then so be it.

PS: Average Salary in II is 450k. Malou is 140k. so that is 30% of your salary invested into 1 position. in Krifs team, it's 140k out of 325. That is 38% which is over 1/3rd for 1 position. i call that making a sacrifice (which as stated earlier, i respect tremendously)
