in my opinion there's no sense to the stamina drop by lack of minutes and no up for the minutes played...

to represent this there's a Practice "skill"...

no sense for stamina drops anyway

i don't think stamina is important to the overall performance of a player... it really doesn´t matter a lot... but there is a serious problem with stamina when you train 3 players in only one position... when you train only one position (getting faster training) you really need that the players who play on this position have very good stamina; if they don´t, they won~t be able to play the entire 48min... fortunately my 3 trainees have not caught any injuries yet... but I think that if they go injured it will be depressing, since their stamina will drop a lot and destroy my training schedule... stamina drops when the player gets injured is not definitely a good idea... at least for those who sacrifice and train only one position (and a few players) a week...

My suggestion is that injured players be able to play in scrimmages only.

That way the injury is still bad luck for league/cup games, but:

1) the player can get minutes in a scrimmage and not see his stamina drop;

2) get some training, but not a full week's worth since its unlikely (though not impossible) that the injured trainee will get all 48 minutes in a scrimmage.

Or if BB really wants training missed due to injuries, then merely let the scrimmage PT count to maintain stamina.

What I'm saying, is I think if you're not playing you should lose stamina. But when you start playing again, you should probably be able to gain it back slowly as you play (sort of like the new stamina training system in HT).

BTW, I'm sure you English is a lot better than my Spanish or Basque or Catalan...

Can there be any fix to the massive amount of stanima loss.

Its ruined many of my players and derailed my training for months to come.

When the Hattrick people understood that there had given a too strict management and therefore loss of stamina, they gave all players an extra boost at the start of the Off Season. An idea for BB as well?

Older than the rest ...

hope so!!
the hattrick rule change was much needed and hopefully the powers that be will see that a) the game will be more fun (higher retention) if the stamina variable doesnt have only negative possibilities....and b)the database of players will improve much quicker (as they stated they wanted) and c) because i have ignored stamina in favour of the main skills!!
the one suggestion ive just read on playing injured players in scrimmages is ridiculous....

players should still be injured and have to recover (via doctor) but not lose stamina at the speed the do currently and be allowed to recover stamina when they are playing themselves back into contention for a starting berth.....

come on BB...... i havent read 1 decent counter argument yet... the injury random is just too great and as a Liverpool fan if Gerrard got injured then i had to see him play reserve games for half a season just to be fit enough for a first team recall this would take the biscuit...... this is what you are subjecting us to here

apologies more like gerrard injured then all the rest of the squad have to train with him out of sympathy for the half season on stamina just so he can justify his inclusion back in the starting line up

well we use stamina like form

why don't simply disapears stamina random value from players??

a youg player always will have a better stamina than old one

Zidane has the same stamina when young than when playing at Real Madrid ???
or Karreem abdoul jabar play same when was 30's than 40's???

i think could be more interesting an aged decree of stamina than a low minutes fall...

and of course some kind of formula to set 18's diference between 30's (maybe a 18's will not be the better stamina but 22-23 will) and of course the experience will be more determinant into the stamina vs skills choses in a schedule...

I think we are over-penalized with the current injury system.
It is 1) way too long injuries
2) stamina loss is quite important

If I remember correctly the BB's said that stamina loss was supposed to be around 0.2 per week no?

Well here is what I can establish from my last 2 injuries

Player A:
-from strong to respectable: 4th January
- from respectable to average: 18th January (2 weeks after)
- from average to mediocre : 25th January (1 week after)

And he still has 3 weeks of injury left...

Player B
- from inept to awful: 18th January
- from awful to pitiful: 25th of January (1 week after)

So basically the loss is superior to 0.5 per week.

With injuries of 8-10 weeks you might end up with a player at atrocious level from a strong one! I think this is way too much...
