But in your request for a "simple, complete" manual I would ask you to show me a similar type manual for general managers leading real life professional basketball teams. Where is the NBA version of this manual? Is there one for the Premier League managers? Or one for people leading professional bicycle racing teams? One for physicians about how to be a doctor? Etc etc.
Of course not...
Of course not? You don't have much life experience, do you? There are always simple manuals, checklists, short lists that give you basic guideless in pretty much every profession you described here. People keep them in their jackets, desks, little office libraries to remind them simple begginer-level information whenever they need a quick reminder. That's true for all doctors, high level army officers, university professors and professional sport agents.
And no, none of those manuals are supposed to teach them how to be good and they are not supposed to. Same my intention when bringing that up was not to create a Manual that guides all new players to be a good manager but to actually show how the game works.
1.
THIS GAME HAS THE WORST MANUAL I'VE SEEN IN OVER 40 YEARS AND THAT'S WHY IT IS LOSING THE HIGH MAJORITY OF THE NEW PLAYERS.
2. THERE IS NOTHING COMPLEX ABOUT THIS GAME.
I don't understand why you people resist understanding what I am trying to tell you. Either you have been in the game for far too long to comprehend a new player's perspective or you simple don't have the capacity to read. So, I'll try to explain this one last time, like I am talking to a 5 year old.
Think about the game of CHESS. It is a simple game to learn, very hard to master.
Simple? Yes.
Easy? No.
I won't get into the detail like I explain things to my engineering students, but I am optimistic that people who can use a computer or a cell phone to at least read this will have the intelligence to comprehend that simple and easy are not the same things. They are completely different.
Now, when you teach someone who has never played a game of chess before, you start by explaining the board and the pieces. There are only 6 different pieces in chess. You explain each one of them individually. Does knowing how the pieces move make a player great? Of course not.
BuzzerBeater Manual doesn't explain the pieces of the game. It would take less than 3 pages to write but instead, there are hundreds of useless information in the manual. I've read every single one of them and still don't have half of the questions I asked here in the forum.
Instead, people here are so arrogant and think they are super smart in insulting new players. Why? Why insult new players so much? I can design a nuclear reactor from the ground up but I am too stupid to play this game? Seriously?
Today, I opened the game thinking about buying a 1-year membership and then saw the nasty messages. I'll stick around a few more days to see if there will be an official appolgy. If not, then wish you all happy Xmas in advance.
