Surely the Warriors wouldn't be stupid enough to trade Bogut/Thompson for Howard!!!! Talk about ruining a team on the rise

Thompson is the main chip right there, he played well in the playoffs with an array of shots from all over the court and his defense has improved greatly... and I can bet the Lakers would give anything for Thompson.

The Suns just landed Bledsoe but how will that effect Dragic? hmmm...

"The Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks have reached agreement on a three-team trade that will send J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley to L.A.

The Suns will receive Clippers point guard Eric Bledsoe and forward Caron Butler while the Bucks – who facilitated the deal with a sign-and-trade of Redick – get two second-round draft picks.

Redick received a four-year, $27 million contract that includes a trade kicker.
The Bucks traded for Redick at the February deadline and ultimately decided against re-signing him for the nearly $8 million per season the Clippers did."

I think they'll move Dragic to the two and have a backcourt similar to the Houston Rockets where they have Harden as the primary ball handler at SG

Looks to me like a case of the rich getting richer. The Clippers added a couple of nice components that help fine tune their next season. Meanwhile, the other teams in this trade didn't do much but add confusion imo.
Sure Bledsoe has showed he's ready for a starting gig at PG but Suns just spent up on Dragic, who is their starting PG. I can't really see either of these two sufficiently covering the 2 spot and Butler is simply a veteran that is passed his best. Admittedly Suns never could get their mix right with Dudley/Beasley/Johnson all having a go at SF. Maybe they're hoping Butler will help bring the best out of Beasley...
Not even worth mentioning Milwaukee, obviously they're going for the lottery.

Clippers had a ridiculous lineup stats wise with chris paul + bledsoe on court together. Maybe suns are trying to do that. Also, they're trying to sell tickets.

Suns management is a bit retarded though in my opinion.

Unfortunately Pheonix don't have a front court like the Clippers did. Suns haven't made a decent move since they brought Barkley in.

2004 to 2007 were good years when they brought in Nash for his 2 consecutive league MVP's.

They had a lineup of Nash, Joe Johnson, Marion and Amare.

I have to admit I didn't pay too much attention to the NBA during the Nash era, so I stand corrected. They did have a decent team but couldn't ever take the big trophy home.
Everything since then has been rubbish!

More "agreeing" today (nothing can be signed until July 10 from memory) :
Wolves : Budinger 3 yrs/$16mil, Martin 4 yrs $28-$30mil (great moves for the T-Wolves, finally some outside scoring, but Martin is a slight overpay but that is what they need to do to get players to Sota) Rubio/Martin/Budinger/Love/Pekovic (assuming he stays) is far from a poor starting 5 and they have a solid bench with a number of young guys that will hopefully improve. Hell they might almost make a 8th seed if they can stay healthy.
Spurs : Splitter 4yrs/$36mil - spurs preparing for the post Duncan era
Pacers : West 3yrs/$36mil - also signed CJ Watson as backup PG. Larry Bird makes his first big move back in charge quickly. Probably overs but by all reports he is a locker room leader ... can't wait to watch grainger and george on the floor next season!
New Orleans (I just can't call a team the ... PELICANS!!!) : gave tyreke evans a 4yr/$44mil offer, kings are mulling over whether to match.
The Kings in the mean time offered Andre Iguodala 4yrs/$56mil then a few hours later pulled the offer as he wasn't interested ... maybe they just realised there were one too many zeroes in the offer before he could sign ;)
Teams are interested in Greg Oden ...... gee they must be desperate and willing to take a huge gamble
