No offense mate but that would explain it obviously. I have NEVER used 'Coach picks...' and I ALWAYS use 'strictly follow...'

Trying to understand this... not sure why it happened...

The coach ignored my depth chart for PF / center in garbage time. (and later SF) Yes, I used "strictly follow depth chart". Now I did have 12 players active, but 10 were assigned to the depth chart. 1 unique player for each position. So that shouldn't have been a problem?

Garbage time started at the end of the 3rd quarter. a non-depth chart player was the first replacement at PF!?! And the player that was supposed to play PF was moved to center. Obviously the assigned center was left on the bench...

That same lineup started the 4th quarter, & it even stayed that way after a timeout! Finally the coach put in the real backup C partway through the 4th quarter.... Only to pull him again after a few minutes. Then put him back in... Also the non depth chart player played the last couple minutes at SF for some reason. Replacing a player with the highest stamina on my team. There was even a clock stoppage shortly after. Yet the coach still left him there.

Now this wasn't a huge deal. But curious why it happened. Is this a fluke or to be expected in the future?

My 2k scrub seems to have started in place of my actual player.

I only have 5 players that I set as starter/reserve/backup with strictly follow depth chart. I looked at lineup prior to the game as I had read about this from another australian manager recently.

I also use the letter keys to select my players in combobox, and 'M' is no where near 'R'.

It's only a PL game, but it scares me for league games.

I checked your lineup for the match (you can too, by loading the former lineup in the tactics page) and Rodrigues was set as starter at PG and sub at SG. You must have forgot to replace him at PG. Such things happen, been there myself this season already.

Now I did have 12 players active, but 10 were assigned to the depth chart.

Herein lies the mistake. If you don't want the extra players to play in garbage time, don't include them for the game at all. It's one of the basic rules of getting predictable minutes, as it was written many times here.

The data (which you can also check by loading the former game in the tactics page) clearly shows Whitlam as your starting C, with Underwood set as backup and reserve.

Please use the "Load Former Match Tactics" option to check what lineup you set for the game before posting it here as a bug.

Thanks for looking into this - I fully accept that I could be in the wrong and expect it to be the case. I only reported it due to the other AU player reporting this and putting me on alert. Especially considering the steps I use to set my lineup (hotkeys etc)

If there haven't been any commits put into production, then sure. If there have been... Well, I have seen unintended consequences rear their head months down the line myself... and I have dedicated testers that get paid a decent wage.

There were no changes for a long time in that department, sorry to say, but you can rest easy though, no changes means no unpredictable new bugs.

Hey, thanks for the engagement - in terms of the list, the dude selected is right below the one meant to play. I am 100% with you on it being my fault.
