Losing side of the cup or b3 game should also get money... atleast half of what the winner gets..

12,5k would be so ridicoulous, but it would be correct.

He claimed it was their own fault their teams are now in financial difficulties. This is a suggestion of ignorance.

I also never said anything about the changes not affecting the BBs or anyone else for that matter. I said that you cannot simply say it's their own fault.

I don't know what exactly you are trying to tell me, because none of it relates whatsoever to my post. Who the hell said anything about wanting things to be perfect?

Certainly one expects changes in life, but you don't usually expect such drastic changes to the rules of a game. It can happen in a new game, yes, but to say their teams problems are their own fault, like he did, when said team was based on previous rules is ridiculous.

My post was in response to a poster who said that it is a player's own fault if his team is in trouble because of the changes. I disagreed.

Certainly we can expect a brand new game to change, but we should not afterwards be told that we are at fault when rule changes demolish our efforts which were based on the old rules.

Unless you have some means of predicting future changes then I would assume you agree with this sentiment.

I agree with your sentiment. But I agree more with the sentiment that setting long term goals this early in the life of a new game is setting yourself up for frustration.

That's not to say you shouldn't do it. I'm just saying that, at least from now on, any long-term planning must have (and I also personally believe should have had form the onset) in mind that the rules are not static.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Would you be so kind as to explain to me what kind of long-term programming I should do, playing in an extremely competitive division (not a ridiculously easy one like yours), that can take into account the possibility of seeing my weekly income drop anywhere from 25 to 50% with just a two week notice?

-Should I sell off my entire team except for a couple of benchwarmers, build a 25000 seat stadium, lose every game, and be demoted (thus causing my fans to abandon my cause)?
-Should I keep a competitive team with the risk of bankrupcy because the people in charge decide that since an extremely small group of owners (playing on the other side of the world and who I will likely never face in a competitive match) are making loads of money, my economy, which I carefully balanced in order to keep a positive income and a playoff-caliber team at the same time, could be destroyed at any given time?

Please answer me, but not with a generic useless answer. I want to specifically know what kind of long-term programming you would advise me "having in mind that the rules are not static".

Thank you.

the goal of the game is to create a competitive team as well as able to develop them and keeping yourself afloat financially.

you dont need to sell your whole team just trim em down in such a way your able to hold your finances and still stay ( at least ) in your own division after the season.

its useless to have a big arena if your losing, people wont come to your games as compare to those who wins so you need to balance your efforts on building the team as well as expanding your arena.

the truth is if we play by the rules, we are allowed to go under till we reach half a million and we forfeit the team your handling.

First of all, I understand what the goal of the game is, and I know the rules, thanks.

Secondly:
My division (since I play in division two in a country with more than 3000 users, not 100 or 200) is such that the difference between the first place team and the last or second last place team is VERY slim.

Last season I made the playoffs and structured my economy in such a way that I could count on more or less a 50k positive income a week.

This season, with two weeks notice, the economy was changed in a way that, without the Cup income (which is ridiculously low, so low infact that the most important teams have had to lose on purpose because fielding a competitive team for the Cup would be financially disasterous), my weekly income goes from -20k to 5k.
Fortunately, I don't have to trim down my team in order to avoid bankrupcy, because if I were to get rid of even one player, my chances of staying in my division would be very very slim.

Now, my question was this:
If, like the previous poster said, I have NO IDEA of knowing how the economy will be structured from one season to the next (actually from one week to the next), how am I supposed to "make long term programs " that will allow me to, as you say, "create a competitive team as well as able to develop them and keeping myself afloat financially"?

You make it sound like you are the ONLY team in your division with a problem... everyone from your HUGE country and HUGE database of users has to adapt so where are you actually at a disadvantage vs your competitors... I would like to read HOW you feel you have been ill treated more than your peers....

I haven't (where did I ever say I was?).

We have all been ill-treated because of a problem we did not create, and now we are even being told that it is our fault. That is, quite frankly, very stupid. And I'm sure the BBs will agree with me.
