This week in STuds and DUds

Studs:

PG: R.Choplek was the big dawg tonight, the man went for 19 and 9, not nine assist folks, but 9 rebounds, got a little rondo in your hands

SG: There were some serious candidates for this position this week but i have to go with the man that cause quite a storm, yes im talking about springfield's storm own M. Estivill, the guy put his team in his shoulders and went to work scoring 27 pts meanwhile shooting 73%!!!! yes folks you heard that right

SF: A. perpinan another one of E.B.W boys had what was a pippenesque game, the dude scored 14 meanwhile rebounded 11 but my personal favorite, held his opponent to a 27% fg

PF: J. Gonzalez had a wonderful display for E.B.W shooting 55% collecting 11 rebounds and limiting his opponent to a 33% field goal. Explosive indeed!!!

C: J. Davis from the KKR, (note, this forum is not responsible for any meaning behind this name, or damage caused by this name) solid night for the big man scoring 8 pts grabing 14 rebs and most importantly limiting the other center to a measly 27% fg.

special mention to : gabat, brunt, andreon, beijleri

AND Davis had 7 assists! I certainly hope he can keep that up with the new tandem holding down the guard spots!

DuDs:

PG: A.Pereza, in what was a very unmajestic performance, is that a word? anyhow the man shot 15% and had 3 fouls.... very detrimental performance, more like hazardous

SG: D. Geric really laid an egg, more like got tsunami, shot 27% i am leave it at that

SF: I. Alfaro, 23%, and i thought haynes was bad.... Dude should be shipped far away from maine

PF: M.Haynes what to say about this poor soul, 25% is wht i say

C: R.Areda for a starting center to play 43 mins and only collect 5 rebounds, that man clearly does not love himself

dishonarable mention to: K. flynn, Z. Daokang, H. Caroll, P.Slabbinck

I love it. I wish you had just a tad bit more detail but your idea is great. +1. Also i enjoy it because i had two players on the stud list (My defense is amazing) and none of my players will ever be on the dud list. ;)

Dishonorable mention to Harley Carrol! Wo man he didn't play that bad 13 assists and he got 11 points, that is a double double in my book. (yes he shot 2-21)

First of all, +1 nelsonalb. Love the Studs and Duds recaps. Keep it up. I agree with E.B.W. though and more info would be better but great nevertheless. With that, I probably won’t do any reflections on games and leave it with the Studs/Duds.

This week we had 3 predictors! The more the merrier. Crazy came away with all 8 games finishing as predicted, E.B.W with 6 of 8 and CoolBoyRon with 4 correct predictions bringing our Season to Date Totals to:
Crazy: 14-16 E.B.W: 10-16 CoolBoyRon: 4-8

Keep an eye out, I’ll have my predictions for Tuesday’s games up some time tomorrow.

To be honest nelsonalb, it takes too much time to write predictions and reflections after games. I really enjoy doing the predictions so i'm sticking with those. I like your recap of individual performances so its all on you. :P

Predictions for 12-11-12 games:

Krushers @ Closet Men:
Both teams’ strongest players are perimeter players but the Krushers have a huge advantage there. The Closet Men don’t have a strong enough defense to stop the Krushers while the Krushers defense can and will slow down the Closet Men quite well. Krushers will probably go RnG and Closet Men, oddly enough, choose to play fast paced as well and its going to bury them in this one. Krushers win by 20-25.
Villains @ Ballers:
The Ballers are 0-3 to start the season but before they are discounted it should be pointed out they faced the number 2, 3 and 4 seeded teams in their conference thus far in the season. Tough schedule. The Ballers aren’t championship contenders but they will win some games this season and this next game against the absolute worst team in the league is a MUST WIN for them. Ballers win by 25-30.
Storm @ Shipbuilders:
The Storm just have more talent in this match. I expect the Storm to win in the battle in the post and earn more rebounds and play better defense down there. Also, with Estivill’s level of play this season and in the past in this league I doubt the Shipbuilders can stop him; I suspect he’ll be big in the win. Storm by 15-20.
Hate @ Majestic 12:
Team Hate scores 143 points last game?! That’ll make an impression. Hate like RnG and M12 like motion so expect a fast paced shootout. Neither team prides themselves on defense so im looking for another high point total in this one. I think Hate have the advantage in post players and should control more possessions and the final score. Hate by 20-25.
Tsunami @ Miu:
Tsunami like to play FCP defense which wears out their opponents but also themselves. In this game they have a deeper roster though and I think it will work in their favor. Tsunami will cause turnovers and generate extra possessions to build a lead and when the 2nd strings from each roster get minutes the Tsunami will maintain or expand on their lead due to their depth. Tsunami by 15-20.
Big Dawgs @ Hunterz: What can I say about the Dawgs; I like this team. Good balance of age and youth with talent. They’re a versatile team and I think will be a legitimate contender in a season or two. You’re in my way and more importantly in my #4 seed spot at the moment though so get ready for a loss. :-P The Hunterz won’t hide our game plan; We’re sending our starters out aiming to develop a lead early so they can comfortably ride the bench and retain strength for our upcoming cup match (even if it isn’t a super hard match we want to rest guys as much as possible for it). Sorry Big Dawgs but Hunterz win this one by 15-20.
Bastards @ No Love:
The Rubio injury is going to hurt the Bastards in this one. No Love has a big advantage in the guard spots and still likes to play a LI penetrating offensive game. If No Love puts Kelley on Gabat and Kolar on Grubb defensively I think they could stifle the Bastards offense and should maintain a decent defensive game. Can’t wait to see this same match later in the season when Rubio is back from injury. Should be a good game but I’ll pick No Love to win by 10-15.
Delpra @ E.B.W:
E.B.W is missing Ander Ovando Ferrer during one of the toughest points in their season when they face the top teams in their conference. Nevertheless they play tremendous inside defense. With the injury to Ferrer, Delpra will have a slight advantage outside. It’ll come down to how well they capitalize on that and how effective Ning Hanxian is at scoring over being a ball distributor. Ultimately I think E.B.W’s incredible ID and ability to rebound at numerous positions will win the day. E.B.W by 15-20.
