I'm doing pretty terrible so far as well, and I'm playing 75% of my full team.

my opponent played his starters -- the ones with the inept game shapes -- the ones that had already played, in some cases, 96 minutes this week.

argh. in addition to a minor injury that completely screwed up my rotation and thus my minutes and thus my GS for two important players, i had to face a guy who doesn't have the sense to sit his starters at least once a week. grumble grumble.

let's top this night off by drawing an NBBA squad, or worse, the Hawks.

I don't get that either, since the guys that missed really don't have horrible FT ratings. Being at home should only slight that aspect in my favor. I'm a little steamed at this loss, but I got my trainees both at 48, so yay for that.

I've noticed this in my own games, where all of or most of my players will shoot far below their career FT % that game. Maybe I'm just assigning too much meaning to random events, but it almost seems like sometimes the game just decides that your team is going to be terrible on FTs that night, and all of your players shoot worse as a result.

there are so many variables, so who really knows? but i have found when my team TIE strange performances may ensue, especially if the ENTH levels are still single-digit.

that first quarter deficit was a hole from which oriolekid could never quite recover, and a crummy first quarter i attribute to the TIE. (this was my pattern in my Cup game.)

slow day at the office. Round 5:

NBBA

DII

DIII
Da Bears at Da Hawks
Red Fort at Redbull

DIV
Cosmic Debris at Incompl
Brinktown-Bombers at Eugene
Chi Town Bangers at Navajo Nation Advent
NY Ballers at Bruins
Asheville Aces at Kentucky

DV and below
Miami Lovers at Lake Merritt
Los Angeles Lords at Senecaville
JCD Eagles at Thunder Gods
Window Lickers at epic buzzerbeater

i'm more than a little amazed that a Bot team -- Flying Pan Crunch Time -- is still in the Cup. blew through four other bot teams. they face a DIV team this week. good luck to one and all.

Yikes. At least I got to go out to a team that deserved the win as much or more than I did - your team literally gave the game away (23 turnovers, 17 of those steals?).
