maybe non-champion teams who get the possibility of being promoted should receive less money (they don't get the attendance boost anyway).

Even half the money would be around one billion dollars in total (estimated).

Nobody wants to acknowledge that. Huge inflation coming...

Whether you liked it or not, tanking a season to save some money and get draft picks was almost the only way to reset a failing or aging team. The salary floor and boycott changes seem designed to make that very difficult to do. But players have been too expensive for many seasons now to retool on the fly. So what will happen now? Everyone will have middling teams by being boxed in on one side by the economy and the other by anti-tanking measures? I usually don't worry about changes to the game based on the fact that the playing field remains level regardless. While true for this change also, this is the first time I have the thought that a change could significantly lessen my enjoyment of the game. I hope I'm wrong.

- Salary changes: Should have been much more aggressive. Still traditional PG/SG are way too expensive salary/performance wise compared to inside oriented players!

- Salary floor: Not right solution for the problem. Boycott is right way to do it! If someone is able to compete with very low salaries, he shouldn't be punished!

- Boycott: Finally!! Informing about this after season has started is NOT FAIR!!!

- Promotion/Demotion: More possibilities for lower division managers to get into higher division. This should add competition.

- Draft: Hmm....I just hope that change is really visible....not just cosmetic....

- Promotion/Demotion: I aggree it's too harsh 6 demotions.
If we want a change, 5 should be enough.
We can have :
8th : direction demotion
5th-6th-7th : PD (5-7, 6-6 with HCA to the best overall, 7-5)

Only one direct demotion, it is better for the fairness of the final standing and with this evolution more teams involded in PO/PD.

About the boycott others said the same thing and I think that's absolutely right: they should have announced it now or mid-season then implemented it next season. People who already sold or are in the process of rebuilding are now screwed (assuming the new rule kicks in at fairly low amount of savings).

Also someone has to explain to me why would I need to get the fans blaming me if, after I promote to D1, I spend 5 million for 2 starters and I'm left with 2 in the bank. With 2 million I cannot buy another starter, therefore getting the curve of the boycott drop % right (depending on the savings) is really crucial and, with Marin's history, we know things can get very wrong (the best news I have had from the game today is that A. they take shared decisions and B. Perpete was on a very sensible position based on common sense).

One team in each league is likely to win less than 3 games and even more 1 in each third of the season (whether they want that or not), so there's gonna be hundreds of people who will be affected and, while we know exactly how all other ingame taxes and penalties work, we don't have any detail of how this will work. This adds additional problems: if your gates halve maybe you're going to also pay overextension tax. If you need to decide between winning 1 league game or 1 cup game which one are you going to choose?

About the salary floor I think it's about right. Where it is now in the EBBL you probably can't do 300-400k profit a week, but it will still give you enough to rebuild (probably)

You can take our supporter compare box away, if you promise to truly listen to the concerns raised by people on the forums and discuss again among yourselves about whether some of the major changes can be tweaked to address some of those concerns while still serving the purpose for which you decided to implement them.

Sounds like you are saying supporter opinions "should" matter more?

Just clarifying if that's true or you are just frustrated?
