That's how I felt about this to. A little wild and hard to wrap my mind around it originally. But it fits what I have always anecdotally felt which is +1 effort is about +10 pt swing. I wonder if BM just shows you better outside because that's how your players skills fall? While IS is valuable on guards, I don't feel like it shows up to speak of in the inside scoring ratings, that's mostly just based on the IS on your PF and C, and to some extent you SF.
