I think our game is going to be much closer matchup than you think, your team is very good and I am hopeful that you get some great draftees!

Will be a FUN matchup non the less! :-)

I think you give my too much credit, T-Lit. The game we played in the PL this season doesn't help as I had some bigs which I have now sold. (hint hint = weakness is bigs!) lol. (or is this just reverse psychology?)

I'm looking forward to our game. If I can secure one of the 5/5 bigs in the draft, hopefully I can build a team around them. My SF trainee is coming along nicely and although his TSP is already 100, I want to get some great big training into him before he caps.

I think the coolest part about being HG is the constant training and the long-term benefits of that.

I think our match could be close. Well, at least I hope so. :-)

Lets also not forget yall, it is 100% guaranteed a mistake will happen, it just is what it is.

I LOVE the preparation and planning, but its just going to be an accident that someone puts in a wrong time, or accidentally forgets to schedule something, or something happens...

We just roll with it and always come back to the understanding this is a game, and in all our years of playing this, its a really cool undertaking yall are doing. :-)

Maybe the simplest way to avoid confusion is to publish a table with the local time of each participant's country, do you want me to prepare it?

Actually this is unfortunately not a good idea, as some countries such as USA and Australia reside over multiple time zones.
Each team needs to be given it's own match time. This is why I asked time zone information from each manager residing in countries with 2 or more time zones in them, and created a list here: (324689.559).

Most likely I will copy this team information from this above list to both official HGL threads today. But I guess it would be necessary also to write some kind of introductory/reminder post as well first, so that process goes smoothly...

I'm trying to take most steps imaginable to prevent that from happening. I think one of those steps is a designated match time, that is given for all teams separately. This, in my opinion shouldn't leave any room for errors, unless of course, one is just mindlessly organizing a seasons worth of matches, which I really hope wouldn't be the case with anyone of us :D

Besides, when the organizing round is ready, all managers will be asked to confirm (and preferably double-check) their schedule to confirm all opponents, dates and match times (that they see in their calendar - should exactly match times that are given on that aforementioned list) are in fact correct. That's easy when you just keep two tabs open in a browser simultaneously...
If those match specs are not correct on some part, then team needs to make another try in arranging PU match with correct details. Yes, they lose one token by doing so, but maybe they'll remember it better because of that later on...
Yes, it will be lots of fun for sure! :)

Now that we have a set time, 2:30 Pm EET, are we good to start scheduling our games?

I will use your time of 7:30 Eastern Time (ET) for when I schedule my games.

Thanks for making a set time, best of luck yall! :-)

Not sure? Wagner? I think we are close...

Yes, very close indeed. While hopefully all managers have read what has been written on these two official HGL threads, maybe I need to write a post about the process first...

I actually noticed an error in my previous scheduling now that I again took a look HGL schedule created earlier.
Like you guys know, HGL should start on season 68, and not on 67. I had also written that "time window for booking/organizing matches for the next season of HGL takes place between transfer deadline and first match of a BB league" and that "league starts on a Monday after first BB league match".

So clearly, this isn't the case if league would start 31st of March, as it now says in the calendar.

So for this reason, we should postpone the current start for one week, to April 7th. This is easily done, if we just change dates in the schedule - no need to touch the matchups as everything else remains the same, everything just moves forward one week. There is an added benefit, that I will get all the rest work finalized in more reasonable time frame. I didn't actually register MrJ's comment about the rush in that dramatic manner, as I have all the time thought that start will be after the first league match of of BB, as it is supposed to be.

Well, luckily this is easily fixed. So myself, MrJ and T-Lit need to make changes to the schedule posts before we can proceed (as all of them might be used for organizing matches, while I guess MrJs' list is the key as it will likely be used for organizing matches as it has important information bolded, which is the key for knowing who will challenge who). Everything will just move one week forward.

EDIT:
@MrJ&T-Lit: I have now finished editing the official schedule post on HGL Scores Season 1 Official Thread, here: (326590.5).
So I changed the starting date to April 7th. Maybe if you MrJ could change dates on your list (with bolded team names, as that's what is likely used in organizing matches), based on those changes above? (And then possibly if you, T-Lit, want to include your list to the forum just as last time, it also would need to reflect recent changes especially as it is then located at the official thread). Sorry guys for extra mile you have to take! I knew something like this could happen, so that's why I also say that it's definitely safe to say to me if there's some lack of logic in my thinking, or if I've missed some point... just a pure accident/wrong assuming led to this, but like said, it just gives us a week more time and in that sense it's a welcoming one!

I also already wrote a post about how to proceed with pickup games organizing (so it's ready for publication once we are ready to roll - I didn't publish it yet on purpose). After all schedules (now you MrJ and T-Lit left as I changed mine) are corrected, I can send that post on this thread, and all can comment if they spot some definite mistakes in it - and then if nobody says anything or confirms it's fine, I'll send it to official forums so we can get organizing matches going. If needed, I can send all managers BBMail too, but now that season start was transferred to the date it belongs to (as written in league rules), we should have plenty of time also without BBMail notifications.

@all managers: After we have postponed the start of the season for one week to 7th of April, we will be able to start arranging our matches. On the other words, current schedule doesn't reflect correct match days, so it needs to be modified. It is not a long process, so we are close to it already. Having said that, please do not start organizing matches for Season 1 just yet. I will let you know in the official HGL threads and here, when it's the time to start that process.

I will write a short info post about organizing process, which I'll release on official HGL threads when we have finished changing the match dates on the schedule. I will not release it yet, because some might get an idea that we are already ready to start the process of organizing matches.

But again as a reminder to all: there has been a rule change, and all HGL matches are played simultaneously. So you will use certain time that is specific to your team, when you send Pickup match invitations. This time will be found from official HGL threads at participating teams-posts (more information about this later).

So a bit more patience please, as we correct the schedule!
