however, overall, I like this guy's starting skill-set (except for FT)
That FT is potentially a deal-breaker. On my main squad I've spent two seasons training a big that, unfortunately, started with 1 FT. He's cost me numerous games during that time with his 1-8, 0-5, ect outings at the line. Unless you can afford to train FT up to 3 or so he'll likely cause you more headaches than its worth for simply a starter potential guy. Just my experience and opinion of course.

Oh I agree... but for 1 season... I can bear with the guy.

Statistically... he's my 3rd best guy, 2nd best trainable kinda guy, the other 2 have 8 FT. so... I am hoping he's just the kinda guy who doesn't foul or go to the line often... and leaves that to the other 2...

If you look at it from another angle. If you dont have trainees you wont need to waste money on a trainer and can expand your arena and/or buy some better players that will help you reach success faster.
If you only look at the starting roster and training potential sure things can be unfair. But who says you need to train players right away to be successful?

Or another view from the same angle:

If you're the type of manager that thinks that the starting difference of a few hundred thousand because of a lucky trainee is going to be the difference between your success and your failure, you're wrong - not about your eventual failure, however, just on where to point the blame.

Did anyone notice this:
Best 18 year old potential = P All Star
Best 19 year old potential = Superstar
Best 20 year old potential = MVP

Also with that in mind, getting a 20 year old MVP is not really that special.

Of the 3 I am happiest to have received a 19 year old superstar. He's 5'11 which is cool. But 3 of his inside stats are 1 lol.

Without a trainer this week...looks like I am training Stamina!

Yeah, he'll work on it. Or just shoot well enough to continue to put up 14 point 13 rebound and 5 assist games.
