Sorry about that, you're right. The game I was thinking of happened before the changes were implemented.

You're saying starter for PG will play 36, backup will play 10 and reserve will play 2. What if the same player playing as starter for PG also plays backup for SG and reserve for SF? Will he get 48?

No, I think he will get 45 minutes or so. The difference is lost, i.e., the extra minutes do not count for any other player.

What if I start with only 5 players - wtihout back ups - and 3 of them foul out ? In that case, that game will be reckoned as a walkover too ?

No, as long as you start out fielding 3 or more players, you will not have a walkover.

How was it again, if I field only 1 or 2, will this one / these two get training minutes on the spots I put them to start on?

See earlier post:

the player would play 36-10-2

So the starter gets 36, backup gets 10, reserve gets 2. If you put one player at starter, backup, and reserve, he gets less than 48, though.

Edit: Don't know why this was a reply to myself....

Was it a reply to me? I didn't mean like that but if I give a walkover fielding only 1-2 players in the squad, will these still get training minutes, let's say they were put to be C and PF and all other spots empty...?

BB-Charles in a news post:

Currently, a team which forfeits loses the game 25-0, and the game is treated normally for the purposes of training, game shape, and team effort. After the changes, a forfeit will still be recorded as 25-0, but the league standings will consider a team that forfeits to be below all teams with the same win/loss record, regardless of point differential. Furthermore, a forfeiting team will receive no training minutes for the game. The team effort will still have the same effect as before.

Thanks. I'm thinking of possibly giving wo in not a league game but scrimmage. So their won't be any downsides and guaranteed 48 mins for the 1 or 2 players, at the right positions?
