so what do the candidates think about our Pool?

--

Yeah, and I don't think, that in an international game you always need a manager from your own country. There are lots of examples, where foreigners are real successfull.

Ok, here are a couple of questions for all candidates:

1. Were you to be elected, what would be the first thing you'd do?

2. What would be the single most important date in your U21 reign, and why?

3. What would be your ambition for the upcoming U21 campaign?

4. Why are you not standing for election in your own country?

And finally some more homework for you:

5. Please could you link to the 3 games which you feel best showcase your tactical abilities. Please outline your reasons for choosing these games in as much detail as you feel is necessary.

Thanks in advance. Best of luck to all candidates in these elections! :)

Cheers,
DogNatural

Is that supposed to be English?

Sorry, but it makes no sense at all. As such you get an additional question all to yourself: Do you feel it is important for a U21 manager to be able to communicate effectively with other users?

1. Were you to be elected, what would be the first thing you'd do?

Of course I would check the roster and the Drafties from this season. Than I want to communicate with every manager, who has got a player in his roster, which is able to come to the NT. => Will the guy get the right training? if not, probably we can find another team for this player. (f.ex. sometimes you get a real good PG-Draft, but you wanna train big guys, than it's important, that the new draft finds real fast another team, where he gets training)

2. most important date

I dont know yet, which game probably will be important... First of all the election is important and after that every single game will be important... yeah and the draft in season 11.

ambition
win as much games as possible -- make the forum here more funny => more user will be interested in the U21 -- bring up the team into the TOP60/50 of the world -- at least 6th place in our Pool -- a real press blog!

why Scotland and not Germany
I think, we had a good time, while I was here NT-coach for the senior team, so why shouldn't we work/play again together? - For me a smaller community is more interesting than Germany, where everybody just wants to win titles.

tactical abilities
(5277) there it's easy to see, that we got the right tactic and won against Norway, which was 20places higher than Scotland in the NT-Ranking

If you wanna look, check my games with the Bock-Bier-Boys or the scotish, you'll see, that I try to find the right tactic for every single game...

1. Were you to be elected, what would be the first thing you'd do?

First I'd look through all 26 teams rosters to identify potential U-21 players. I'd have a special attention to all draftees from this season. Then I'd contact the managers to know more about their training schedule and either short and long term intentions for specific players.

2. What would be the single most important date in your U21 reign, and why?

The day of the actual election. It would be an enormous honor to win and a major boost to my interest on BB!
I can't promise wins. All I can say is that I'll put on Scotland's U-21 team as much effort as I've put on my own team for the past 7 Seasons and hopefully get the same results I had!

3. What would be your ambition for the upcoming U21 campaign?

Victory's against Malta and Moldova. On the remaining 5 games I'd like to see a well balanced team, able to cause an upset...

4. Why are you not standing for election in your own country?

Because I believe that the actual Coach is doing a great job and I totally support his re-election! In the future I'll face that possibility more seriously, after picking up more experience from other campaigns.

I'll need a bit more time to select the 3 games you asked for. Probably later today I'll post my answer to this question.

Thanks for asking!

1. Were you to be elected, what would be the first thing you'd do?

First of all Iì'll try to organise a U-21 staff team. I would need a pair of scouts at least. Secondly it would be very important to understand which ones are the "real active" scottish teams to organise a training strategy. Third: try to save as many potentially good players from teams that would became inactive and calling them up in the U-21 so trhat they could be sold and saved (Until now I save a lot of U-21 actual players).

2. What would be the single most important date in your U21 reign, and why?

The day I leave Iì'd like lo leave a competitive team to who is going to replace me...when it ill be...

3. What would be your ambition for the upcoming U21 campaign?

Build a competitive team and find a real collaboration from Scottish and non-scottish managers.

4. Why are you not standing for election in your own country?

I am and I believe that our first choice should be a scottishman.

All the game are there. Unluckily gaps in U-21 teams are bigger that in NT and that make very difficult to win immediately if players in some positions arent trained well or at all...lately the numer of scottish coaches has rocketed so luckily soon I am confident we could have a better team but this could take another season or two. We still need to cover some strategic team positions to minimise the gap with other strong nations.

Thank you to S.Bock, Pardon_Me and Taintum for taking the time to answer my questions. :)

I have 2 more Q's to put your way:

(a) What can a relitively new and inexperienced manager like myself contribute to BB Scotland? What way's can i help out?

(b) Current NT manager Calum has been mentioned once I think so far. How important do you feel it is for the U21 and NT managers to be working together? Is it important to build up a relationship betweent he two managers?

Cheers! :)

a) check out my speech...you can be very useful!

b) it is important...expecially to share players in a better way for the two NT. Also trying to point out players to the other managers when you think they could be interesting.

I think, that nationality is not so important. We are living in the 21th century in a global society/ game. But of course, thats just my opinion...but we are for discussion... thats why I wanted to say that.

Second point. If the current coach is allready the coach for four seasons, than my question is: Why dont you have a good staff allready?? You had enough time for that.

But I like it, that you're a real candidate in this election and not like the last election.

Concerning the other question:
Everybody can help the NT-coaches, f.ex. when we discuss the tactic strategy. We did that very successfulll with the senior team.

Yeah and I think a good cooperation with Culum is imporrtant. That's why I want to know, which cadidate he likes and what is for him important.
