Did a foul happen just before the play which expired the shotclock?
Somehow, the break in play should reset the shotclock to 24, but the matchviewer does not. It keeps the shotclock at the point the foul was commited and doesn't update it back to 24. So you might notice that the shotclock has been reduced to 0 but in reality there is still time on the clock. Minor bug.

I think the minor bug that you are are mentioning is a different one, and that is mainly an issue with how time is displayed on the clock. In those cases, I believe the play continues normally, and can end with a shot, another foul, etc.

I think that the OP is talking about a slightly different situation, although I could be wrong. In any event, there are cases where a team will continue to have possession after they should have lost the ball due to a shot clock violation. These possessions always (eventually) end with a steal, after which the game continues normally. I think the most I've ever seen is 50 seconds or so of game clock tick off during a possession like this, but that's just going on memory.

The same has happened to me several times, i thought it was a bug but it could be that the ball is on the court and nobody has the possesion until a player catchs it. It´s the only explanation that it has sense to me, even if sometimes it tooks a lot of seconds until it happens.

It's funny how I played three games without having this occur, but as soon as I read about it, it's happened twice in a row.

I've only had two games so far.

In each game, more than once, the engine records 3 steals back to back to back. doesn't bother me, but it's kinda strange.
