You look at the win loss record of the entire 16 teams in your league and group them into 1 table. So in your case you will be picking 9th as 5 teams from the other conference have worse records and 3 teams from your conference have worse records. The normal tie break rules apply if teams have the same record.

dammit i was hoping for a better pick.....

i'm playing a scrimmage against the Big 8's 5th seed in a few days, will that affect my pick at all?

No its based on win/loss records after the regular season. Anything in the post season has no effect on the draft.

If your best scouted player is on top it's pure coincidence. Players get put in a random order whether they have been scouted or not.

ahhhh ok thanks, that way people who have gone inactive won't really draft the best players?

They could draft the good players if their randomly generated list has the better players near the top.
