I was just thinking about team training today, and was wondering how many players do you think you would need on a roster before it became more effective than 1 position training?
For example if I had 15 young 18 year old trainees, and did team training rather than 1 position train them all, do you think it would create more income in the end via creating a lot more good players and hence provide a lot more income from selling them?

P.S. This is not a "Help Forum" type question, it is a discussion type question hence I posted it here.

You will have only 15 weak players
Bad idea
Peace

They might be weak initially, but you have to think that however long it takes to do the team training, at the end of however long it takes to get 1 pop up, you actually get 15 (1 for each player roughly depending on sublevels etc). So 1 position training focuses on 1 player, but would it be advantageous in terms of a long term plan to team train lots of young trainees? You would be saving a lot of money as you would not be spending anything, and you would be building up a very very good team over time. Obviously the first season or 2 you won't do that well, but over a long time wouldn't it be worth it?

NO. They are some certain skills that you can train team. D is not one of them. For a new team the best bet is to train 2 positions. You can try 3, maybe you will get something here, but team training absolute waste of time

I'm not as against team training as everyone else seems to be. I use it all the time. You just have to buy your trainees with strong defense- then train them in JS team REB team and PASS team until they are 20 then see how much you get for all 15. Could be a good long term strategy if you aren't in a hurry. I like the idea. Certainly not for the win now or get rich quick. Not every team needs guys with wondrous defense. In fact the vast majority of teams don't.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I am not talking about elite teams. I am talking about new teams. You can do that because you have strong players on every position. something that we cant say for a developing teams isnt?

Yet a tri-role training is very slow,a team training would be much more slower
If you want to train both the frontcourt and the backcourt, you can train some small forward with some guards/big mans
Surely train all players will give you a very very weak team, and your players will not have any value on the market

A new team could do it as well though, they just wouldn't be making money in the mean time, but once they trained up all 15 trainees, they could sell them all for a LOT of money and buy players that would easily see them through til they made div 1. Once they sell the trainees they start training again. I think team training isn't as "ineffective" as every one thinks.

You can try it, but you will waste your time. Lets say that you have a player with some skills at age 18. The same player on his 21 have +10, +15 if you want, skills. Be sure that his value will be lower than he was 18. So thats not a lot of money....
