Okay, so if all players have Proficient GS then training it will do nothing?
Or do you mean that GS will be calculated as normal, then each player will have an increase of 1 GS unless they are already on proficient?

It's not like that. People say that GS is very tricky.

yep, i agree with it.

all i know is that in order to hope that my player will get GS lvl 8/9, i need to keep them between 48 and 60 minutes a week. some will say 64 is good too...

i have had guy's go from 8 to 9 in Gs wth 72/74 minutes, but that doesn't happen to often...

i'd suggest to read thsi thread, tho it doesn't explain everything... it's a good thing to start with, for those who don't understand it very well... especially for the newbie's, who've just signed up, this thread could help out

(127791.1)

hope that can help you guy's

Cheers, yeah I had read that thread when I first started. I was just curious about GS training, I've never done it, nor do I plan to do it anytime soon, but I was just curious about things like how high can GS go, and how long does GS training apply for (1 week only or does it affect multiple weeks) etc.

I keep all my guys on 7-9 just by managing minutes and I guess if 9 is the max then there is little point in training GS.

actually strategically training game shape can be a real game changer

i have never done it myself but let me give you some examples i have heard from other (better) managers who have

1 - you are in a really tough division, week one everyone is in respectable game shape but you trained game shape instead of free throws or stamina in the first week of the season well you have a much increaced chance of winning your games in week 2 and 3 while everyone else slowly gets to strong and then proficient

2 - you are having a long cup campaign and despite some nice massages your starters are losing form due to the many minutes you have to play you want to do well in the league and the cup so you sacrifice one weeks training to give your team a little boost

3 - it is the end of the season and you really dont want to be relegated or really want to win it all and get promoted, lots of your players have respectable game shape due to injuries, trades, overtime games, other players fouling out, or just the coach playing them crazy minutes, so one week of game shape training and you are right back in the series

it is not a thing to do lightly your training is the most important thing you can do to improve your team but there are times when you may consider it

hope that helps

spot on

couldnt have said put it better, but i have never been in the situation to have to train game shape yet.

so dont really know how it works...

can u get from being respectable(7) gameshape to proficient(9) in one week if u trained gameshape as well have having 48-60 mins in a week, thus skipping strong(8) all together?

i'd like to think so.

It would make sense, just as if you trained stamina the week it went down there would be barely any difference to that stat it was at before. make sense?
