I think it really depends how good of a player you're looking for and how good you are on the TL...there is no way you should spend more than $175,000 for a Div. IV really good player you aren't trying to train...I got my SG for 130,000 and he is old but he has strong JS which is what I was looking for. Obviously the more you spend the better player you get.

Is "strong" good enough to get an efficient SG?

If you're looking for a SG to build your future around then absolutely not...but I can tell you that the guy I signed played in league IV last year and averaged a 7.5 rating and averaged a little over 20 points a game with a strong JS.

I wonder how weak are your IV divisions... just my backup SG has 12 JS / 8 JR / 11 OD / 11 D / 7 P / 7 H

You have to think that, excepting Italy, a IV division in any country it´s like a VI in Spain or Italy.

I'm not claiming this type of player to be a star in USA league IV by any means, but it is definitely a solid starter.

Don't listen to these guys. So far the input has been from a sub-par team in V, with little experience in IV. And an Australian player, who is not familiar with how USA IVs play.

At the very top level of IV(meaning you are a playoff team) your SG could run you from 800k to 2 million if you are an outside based team. My SG has 12 JS and cost me about 1.3 million.

If you are an inside focus team, your SG could be from 400k to 1 million. He just needs to be a roleplayer with good OD and handling and passing and possibly rebounding. A little jump range doesn't hurt too, because you won't be getting many threes.

If you are balanced, than your SG could be from 600k to 1.5 million. He needs to be a good defender of course, and have a little JS as well, but not as much as you'd need if you are outside focused, instead he could have extra skills in handling and passing and possibly driving.
