depends on the type of center you want.

I'm not too concerned about having a new user join and beat me.;)

You should be concerened about that....I took over my team last season that was 4-4 went 18-0 the rest of the way including playoffs and Champ. You never know if a new guy gets a good young player he can sell for 1 mil, and build a moster team over night. Plus, a new guy, doesn't always mean he has never played BB before. I am gathering that there a handful of "new" coaches who lost their teams, or let their teams go so they could start over.

Also, what was previously said about it depending what league you get into is absolutely correct. I am in one of the toughest, if not the toughest Level IV leagues in USA BB. I have 88K in payroll, and the average team in my league is at 140K, and one team is over 200K. You asked about a 20K center...well, that sounds good....but in my league there are two 53K+ centers.

So for now, build your arena, manage your enthusiasm, win your games, and your league championship, then make those kind of decisions based on what your new league looks like

Good luck!

In all seriousness I don't think a million is enough to put together a team that could beat mine. And at the least I would advance during bot cleanup.

The C will not be the star of my team but he will need good defense/rebounding, I will focus mainly on OD and will run my offense through my PG, who should be around 30k next season. If I pick up the center I believe I will have around an 80k starting five.

It definitely look like you have a strong Level V team, and I can see your confidence. I was just saying that weird things happen. I remember when I first came into BB I saw a team that was LOADED in another league (the guy who got me into BB was in his league). He was undefeated, and I thought the guy was virtually unbeatable. I figured it would take forever to catch up to him, if I ever do. My buddy kept telling me how awesome this team is. Well I invited him to join a PL, and we just finished the PL in which I beat him 3 times, including the playoff game and his roster doesnt look so intimidating to me anymore :-)

And just so you know, and not to start an argument with you....but if I started brand new in your league, knowing what i know today, and I sold a player for a mil, plus my 300k to start, and the new manager bonus for the first month...I'd be stealing your championship from you ;)

I'll try to stay focused and improving for the rest of the season, don't worry.

Hope I draw either D.IV 4 or 10 next season, sounds like you have a fairly competetive and interesting division.

your stadium is rather small yet.

you have a healthy amount of bleachers now. I am personally interested in seeing how many you pack into the stadium for your next game.

I would suggest rounding out your stadium, and crusing into the playoffs using TIE in every game.

If you need a decent center, you could pick up one, or you could wait until closer to playoffs.

Picking up an insurance star in case of an injury during playoffs might not be a bad choice.

Personally I am just trying to expand my stadium while trading up players. Just trying to generate enough cash to have a suitable stadium and a better trainer by next season. Its possible I may shoot myself in the foot and not manage to win the finals. I think if i play my enthusiasm right I could win (and pick up a really good star with stellar gameshape!)

If you see a stud you can offer training to in the meantime, that could be worth it while going into playoffs.

Well after looking some at the transfer lists it does not appear that I will have the cash to pick up a piece of any great signifigance unless I get and sell an amazing draftee so it looks like I will save.

usa d5 is garbage and anyone can promote out of there with a full season but d4 is a totally different world

unless you are prepared for a msssive jump in quality you will have a tough time there and the chances of promoting and then promoting again are fairly small unless you are in the top 1% of managers

i just looked at your league and everyone else is a bot... :P but I think there will be 2/3 new guys that will get a team in your league and so you should win.

im in the same situation as you because I have beat the other top teams by a large amount but I am still nervous :P good luck!

i started BB and beat DIV V with 3 weeks left in the season and went to Div IV finals the season after. i had one star FA SG and started with 6 $3500 salary trainees. u just need to spend $50,000 each on star - allstar guys 18 yr olds to build some depth in the front court/back court. i got my 20,000 arena during 3rd season. so just keep on expanding.

Would you say more seats, less prices gets you more income?
