I don't fully know if this is really true or it's just a coincidence, but I've experienced this phenomena twice (although only injured for that match) and I do have a feeling that the chance of your players getting injured the week after replacing the doctor is little higher.

Injuries are random in this game, as they often are in real life. The challenge is dealing with the injury not whining about it.
Check the Suggestions they are important

not whining mate i just said what i experienced and think.
i fired my doctor to deal with the problem.

But now you have a minimal doctor, which makes the problem worse...... at least you're saving money.

i have a minimal doctor but i have 3 less injuries than when i had a advanced doc
plus saving money is very nice. just cant wait to spend it ;)

The week after I replaced my doctor with one of the same level I got 2 injuries in a single match. Thought it is just a coincidence, but now I'm starting to wonder..

yeh i fired mine and now have the worst doctor. so we will see how he goes with keeping my players fit.
