I agree with this. I did this twice this season against 2 of the top 3 teams in my league & beat them both, in one case making $200k on the deal
Why not do the same with a player as you do the staff, you have to pay there salary as they leave, same as a Coach, PR or Doctor, unless he has been on your Roster for say 4 weeks, or something like that.

this suggestion also sounds really good. expecially this one for how many weeks he is on your roster.

it is really great that someone who is doing this kind of trading is supporting this idea.

thanks a lot.

Good suggestion.

This would also curb the day traders as it becomes far more expensive if you have to pay the salary up front before listing the player.

i like the way from the poistons, but i don't like it when you have to pay such a high listning fee, which don't allow you to sell top notch players for a high but still fair price.

I bought a 160k guard for 2,2 Mio this season, if this dude wouldn't be selled the first time you loose betwen five and ten percent of the income just for listing the player.

I agree that something should be done. But that means a player can be paid double his salary during one week? Where does that money go?

So maybe it would be better if when you sell a player on wednesday, you pay for his monday and tuesday salary, and the one who buys the player pays for the rest of the week.
Or you could say 2/5 for a league game and 1/5 for a scrimmage, or 1/3 for a league/cup game if you're still in the cup.
So if you are out of the cup, you sell a player after tuesday's game, you still pay 2/5 of his salary.
That means if you buy this player on wednesday and you sell him on sunday, next monday you still pay 2/3 of his salary if you're still in the cup, or else only 3/5.

this is to complicated.
this "first week salary" is something like SIGNING ON FEE, and it means that you give player some money just for signing contract with your team. it is normal thing in european football and basketball.

GM are just something like "sheriffs" here, we don't decide about changes and don't have further informations about planned changes.
But by the way this is my second post here, when it is so important for youu to get a statement from a "normal User" with a GM sign.

And the BB read it, but they don't discuss because their statement change normally the direction of the discussion.

Sorry to rain on this parade, but this suggestion won't change anything.
At the moment you can buy the player for 1 million and not pay salary.
If it changes so you have to pay salary straight up, this just means that the transfer price will be lower.
So you can now buy the player for 700k and pay 300k salary and it will cost the same as now.

but he will sell him for only 700k and be in minus for 300k + 20% of transfer fee. right now he buys for 1mil, then sell for 1 mil or more and he can be in plus becuse he is not paying salary.

so your answer is so wrong.

hmm good point.
Although it depends on the following scenario:
If I buy a 300k player on Sunday afternoon, I would pay 1 weeks salary. Would I then have to pay the weeks salary on the Monday as well?
