I think training different skills all around would amount to more money then just training jump shot. I would suggest Getting players with average or respectable in Jump shot, Outside Defense, and Driving and okay on the rest of the guard skills. Then train switching between JS and OD until those are both around the Prominent, Prolific Range and then using the rest of the training weeks left on driving and then you have a bunch of trainees looking like this.


Jump Shot: prominent-prolific Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: prominent-prolific Handling: mediocre
Driving: strong-proficient Passing: medicocre


This is probably best case scenario but I think a player like that would sell for more then a player you are suggesting which would look like this.

Jump Shot: wondrous Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: average Handling: average
Driving: medicore Passing: average

I agree with your idea of a lot of trainees but 6 is 1 to many, I would say 5 is a better number because then he could sell 3 for a good profit and keep two to continue to train, while adding 1 more 18 year old so he could 1 position train. Then he could train handling, passing, and jump range up while continuing a little bit on the other skills and he could end up with after another season 2 20 year olds looking like htis

Again, best case scenario as far as training goes. he would need a level 4-5 trainer, but those would be some beast 20 year olds.

Training rookies just for profit doesn't get you nowhere competitively in that time. You will have more money after you sell him yes, but in the meantim your team didn't improve.

I don't know if you are doing 1 or 2 position training, but my view on how to make bucks via training is this: I'm doing 1 position training, but every now and then I have to train something on 2 position (JS, RB or 1 on 1). So I plan training in such a way that I will be training 2 position for a lot of weeks straight. For example: buy three trainees that you are going to keep and give them only 1 position traning. Then for next season, do the 2 position training (JS, RB or 1 on 1) alongside three new trainees you bought specifically for this. After the season of 2 position training, your three trainees have improved and you sold other three trainees for big bucks.

Well I completly disagree with you so we will have to agree to disagree. This is not how I train my players (I always start with OD), not how I run my team and not what I would do myself, but it is a proven formula for making big money if you are in an easy league. If you think people look at a 6'1" 19 year old MVP with tremendous jump shot and think "hmm too one dimensionally trained I'll keep looking" then good on you. I think most trainers would be really excited and slam down up to a million dollars.

I guess it is just lucky for managers that train players that this "decreasing number of increasingly demented and delusional managers" is really rich with unlimited funds and seem to always be bidding 24/7 so that every single player trained like this goes for a massive price.

So I guess you win the championship every season, wow you are amazing. Most people aren't as good as you and can see when there is a season that they can't win and instead spend it in training young prospects that will be world class players one day. I guess if you think making millions of profit while creating the future stars of your team is a waste of a season then you are right and I do not know anything.

I can only find one example of a decent 19 year old with sensational + JS on the TL right now.

There are some others not as good for sale as well, mostly also around the $1,000,000 mark. Don't forget you will be training six of these players, keeping the best three and selling the worst three, that is the model, but I guess you think making a million dollars or two in a season from training while making your own furure stars great is a bad idea. You are probably right.

And I am also sure that you are right that all the managers paying up to $1,700,000 for these club footed losers are really stupid. Sure.
