The tops of both the Great 8 and Big 8 is getting very congested. It's still at least a 3 team race in both conferences. Every win is important, as well as PD. My team as an important match with the Vipers coming up soon.

With every win my team and the Tigers pile up, makes the re-match between us much more interesting. Also will be watching the re-matches between the Vipers, greeners, and mr. winless.

Hello, everybody, from the new guy in the league. just joined and inherited a 6-14 team.. let's see what I can do with it. I'll find out where I'm starting tomorrow (playing Warriors Select at home). hoping it goes better than the last game before I arrived.. the fact that a winner could even be declared disgusts me (no offense to the Assault team, but both of our teams looked pitiful, you must admit)

Welcome to the V.72 League. When I started two seasons ago, I inherited a 4-15 team. Now I'm in a position to go for the title. If you have any questions, fell free to ask.

well, technically it's my 2nd game, because a game was played between the time when my account was activated and when I got my e-mail, but I dont count that game even though i won because I didnt do anything. right now, I've got some major changes in place from the original lineup and strategy, so I'm hoping to make something happen with it. want to finish strong for this season so I can start increasing attendance and really make things happen in future seasons.

With only one game left in the regular season, it looks like the playoff teams are set, though the order may change still. Anybody care to make a prediction for how the playoffs will turn out? My prediction will be my team vs. MrWinless in the championship.

well, well, I hated some things I saw and others made me giggle in my first game. especially loved the center getting a double double before the start of the 4th quarter and the nice shooting from Mr. Seitz. however, I had a player that took FOURTY THREE SHOTS and only got 25 points. this was a game high but it was also about 25% shooting. he also had a team high in turnovers. also had problems with foul trouble, having nobody foul out but 2 guys with 4 fouls and 2 guys with 2 or more by the 6 minute mark in the first half. overall, though, I simply have to remember that I held the lead the whole way and won by 18, and be happy with it. definetly going to make a couple changes going into the next game, but I'm pretty happy where I started.

Welcome to BB, from a former member of league V.72 (still the best damn Division 5 league in teh USA!).

Just wanted to point out that the offensive tactic you chose, patients, it what led Paige to attempt so many shots. In Patient, your team tries to fine the player who has the biggest mismatch against his defender, and then that player will take a TON of shots. If you want a more balanced type of offense, where the shots taken will be more spread out, then you could try base offense, or even inside isolation (which is a little more biased towards inside shots than base, but not much actually).

Paige's turnovers could have been because his handling or passing skills were a bit low, or perhaps just because he had the ball so often.

Just holler out if you have other questions. I'm always happy to help new users get their feet. A good place to start is the FAQ here: (144856.1)

Look to schedule a scrimmage for next week, which you can do between Friday and Tues (I think). they're useful mostly for training players, but also for testing tactics. During the normal season, I wouldn't suggest playing your starters in scrimmages much.

Welcome again!

hmm. since this is the last week of the season, I'm thinking about just changing the lineup a little and keeping the team the way it is. I've got 2 different players on the floor for the next game (I dont know how, but I accidentally put a Point guard as my center when I was setting up my first lineup). one of 'em didnt play last time and another came off the bench, but played alright when he was in.
