That does it. In today's game ((42313308) I played Patient, so he stays off the ball and to give less posessions to opponent, and 2-3 defense so he can "hide" under the rim. He made 4 fouls in 13 minutes, two of them were flagrant, and he was kicked out of the game. I'm selling him!

Some of these ideas have been mentioned but here is what I think.

His ID is still a bit weak so perhaps better players are causing him to foul. Train ID a few pops and it may help.

His OD is atrocious. Even a Center may need to help on mid range jumpers or longer at times. Atrocious on any skill can often cause a player to play poorly. I avoid having any atrocious skills on players whenever possible. Even 2-3 pops here could make a big difference.

Some players are just aggressive and foul more often which is just bad luck. The fact that he is still young and lacking skills just amplifies this.

I have a 20 year old combo guard that often has the same issue. His skills are pretty good but like 1/3 of his games he will foul out or nearly foul out in 30 minutes or sometimes in the first half. He has been fouling less and less as his OD as gone up this season.
