We all love forum days. But wasn´t it Perpete who suggested that the BBs get kind of a dedicated BB who cares about "public relations" inside and outside? Someone like that would probably make a forum day superfluous.

As of late, I seem to notice a raise in the presence of BBs anyways, don´t you aswell?

Well Perpete suggested forum days earlier in this thread. A PR-related BB would be a great addition to the roster I think.

Well I have only noticed BB-Marin on the forums(all over bug and help), but I have noticed BB-Mark logging in alot more. Its a good sign :)

Maybe you could invent an "autopost" function, that sends your questions every 20 seconds if you are not there when the forum day or the chatting hour happens, changing the question just a little each time, raising it´s value...

(For most at least) it is not hard to understand that the questions does not need to be set at the spot, and the BB may pick one that had been sent to that chat earlier that day.

There are a small group with a very limited budget.
To ask for a whole day will be to ask a lot.

Asking for a short period of time (an hour was just to set some value and not the expected one) is something that can be fulfilled.

So if it works in chatting (asking your question right away, if you really WANT an answer) if you cannot be online, why doesn´t it work on betting?

Yes, I realize that. A BB PR would be great.

I say it again. A chat would be really difficult and saying the contrary would be made by someone who doesn't go on the chat during games. Small, overcrowded, flooded and of course trolled and flamed. Forums are far more manageable.

i also think the slow pace of a forum would be an advantage, since in a crowded chat things who are said 5 minutes ago are "pretty" old on a forum you could take time with answers - for example to look up or clarify things. And then you could find those post, in related topics also in years ago.

I wouldn't mind being a BB PR. I would work for free, but I am probably not qualified being 16 and all haha

More communication is of course a positive thing, and I think it is something both the BBs and the community wants. One way to achieve that is having a more or less dedicated PR person in BB staff. That has been done and it is a step in the right direction. The thing is, most things in BB relate to the underlying technologies in one way or another. A PR person can handle the "soft issues" and the "feel good communication", but ideally you therefore want a technical person to be part of the communication. Some key things will otherwise be lost in translation however well the PR person does their job.

So, anything approaching a real solution to improving the communication on most hot topics is to involve the actual technical guys in the discussion. This can either happen on the side in every day work (which at times has worked very well with several good posts a week or so; lately not so well IMO) or through some extra effort such as organizing a forum day. A forum day (or a forum working day / half day) would be much better than a one-hour chat to get into the real stuff. One hour is a very short time to discuss anything complicated or in depth in writing. This applies even if you do it every month.
