i played sometimes in the PL, it don't work well at least for me but there wasn't guards going off:

(45455777) - PF best scorer. PG most shot but not really an unusual amount.

(45455789) - C best scorer, the PF with the most shots

(45455813) - PF best scorer with most shots

(45455821) - sg best scorer most shot a C.

But overall no game with a one man show like must of the patient matches, but overall a weak offensiv output but quite balanced scoring.

i would say more besides the not having the high OD and my PG, my team isn't that exclusiv at least it should be nmore normal then a bot lineup.

you are not really considering allstar game as standard? Also most allstar games don't have that behaviour, so that with that argumentation i would say that base offense is balanced since it behave like that with a modified engine in the allstar game.(with high OD player like in my PL ;))

Edit: i checked also the bot claim, of you at least the 5 bot vs bot matches haven't those guard going off and more big guys at top scorers. Generell high scoring, but hey they reflect the skill in game perfectly.

maybe that true when people start playing there center at guards like the bot teams do, else i stay with it it is really a balanced offese which balance the shot and the position of the shots. I am sorry for that is beeing nothing and backup with games, with at least good palyer and good positional advices and not haver rare exceptions in some Allstar games with a modified old engine.

Maybe i could recommend next time, playing your highest salary player on PG, the second highest on SG to run it with the most efficiency.

Edit: maybe i could add that the distribution is more princeton like, at least after the rule book. Lot of shot below the basket, some 3 pointer but not that much midrange. But i still not recommend it to use it.

This has actually been quite enlightening. I appreciate this discussion on Base Offense.
It sounds a bit like I thought it would be.
Kind of like Patient, but not as insanely focused on the one player.
I did play Base Offense last week in my scrimmage, and my best player on the floor got a triple double, which was nice to see. He was at PF or C, though, so the guards must have sent the ball down low for him to either shoot or dish. It's good to see that the offense ran through the most skilled guy on the court.
I'm not opposed to playing it again one of these days.

I loved to play base offense when I was the strongest team in the league.

It gives me always a good idea where my strengths and weaknesses are.

I would say, give it a shot and when it works for you, make it better!
