My 2 cents. I'd keep him and make him the cornerstone of your team. You'll be able to train him forever, just make sure that you can keep up with his salary as he improves. To alleviate that concern, start by training his secondary skills. They are already pretty good, so that's a nice starting point since training inside skills on a 6'2 guy takes a while. Actually, first off, I'd recommend getting his handling and passing up (to around Strong) so he's not a turnover machine, then his OD (also to Strong) so he's not a defensive liability. After that, it's really up to you. I'd hold off on training JS and JR too much as I believe that will jack up his salary right away (there are many posts in the forums about the most expensive skills, salary-wise). With some increased IS he'll be able to finish his drives with savvy and guile. This guy is awesome.

You can still increase the size of your arena without selling this guy. Odds are you'll never have someone quite like him again, so parting with him for $300K isn't worth it in my book.

Oh man, I've learned a lot from my mentor, and I read the forum rules like, 4-5 times. I am young and still have a lot to learn, but I know the game pretty well, but that doesn't mean I'm a Know-it-all. I ain't stuck up, I try my best to be humble, but my youth sometimes gets me away.

2, I do post in the Eagle, but it's ot bragging, it's just entertainment. I'm not trying to come off like the lakers (who do brag) I just want to see active forums thats all.

3. I take advice. Prof. Bricks and EBW give me tough advice to keep me humble. I try my best to be humble. I don't want no aguments. and lastly, I lkie to give opinions, I can learn from my mistakes. Each mistake I make is another good thing for me cause I'm still learning. My motto is, you can always learn from your wrongs


PS I know you hate our newspapers, but I'm supporting the idea in the suggestions forum of making a new Forum for these team newspapers. Hopefully that can work soon.

It's entirely up to you. If you get a nice sell price on him you'll definitely be able to jump-start your arena construction, and if you keep him and train him well you'll have a stud that will bring in nice merchandise income. Whichever path you choose, if you make intelligent decisions about training and team composition, arena building and economy management, you'll do quite well.

Dont listen to these guys saying to sell him. It is hard to find an 18 year old hall of famer. You need to single position train him on JS, OD, and Handling. Do Not Sell this guy keep him and you benefit from him

Not to be mean.( Because this is not mean. [But someone people may feel like I am being mean. {Which I am not}]. I am saying this in a calm, courteous, and polite manner.) But, you should probably avoid taking advice from any team that does not at least have a III.something next to their name.

There are many friendly and talkative people that offer advise on these forums, but everyone who has a IV. something, V.something, or IV.something under their team's name means that they have no credibility (outside of the very very very rare instance where a team has purposely relegated after a long run in division II).

So what am I saying. Essentially if someone gives you advice who can't get out of division IV (or has not played the game long enough to have advanced) you should read their advice like this "WAH WAH WOH WAH, WOH WAH WHA WAH (insert Charlie Browns parents voices) because they have no idea what they are talking about OR they are parroting advice they read somewhere else.

Rubbish , complete rubbish , whilst what you say may be true in most cases i cannot condone this elitist attitude as i have seen some very able managers in the lower divisions of countries. One managed our u21 in england , a very talented manager , and with your way of doing things you would advise people to ignore his advice based on the division he manages in instead of his management credentials. Rubbish , give people a chance.

I'm promoting to D4. I expect to be in D3 in 5 seasons. so I am experienced. I am young and still have a lot to learn. Hey newcomer, just do what you think is best. and Tornado Turtles, cool name, but your getting on my nerves a little.

You are many things, but you will not find anyone with a working understanding of the word to say you are experienced.

Ok Mr. Blackhawks what you are saying is so puzzling to me. Are you seriously telling me that your U21 team in england was managed by a person who could not figure out how to get his own team out of division 4?

You guys all understand that teams in division IV and V are playing against bots and inactive. The entire point of playing this game is to get out of division 4 and 5. That is where you learn the basics of the game. Basics such as how to set your lineups, how to use the transfer list, and how to use enthusiasm to your advantage.

If you disagree with me, I have have no idea what else to say.

How can you disagree with the point that with the rarest of exceptions (teams who purposefully relegate to start over [please note that this is often a sign of mismanagement]) teams in divisions 4, 5, and 6 either do not know how to play the game OR have not been playing the game very long.

Why would any sane person value the advice of someone who does not know how to play the game or has not proved out their own advice?

My mentor. That's where I get advice from. I know how to play the game easily. I got like 10 enth. Enthusiasm is key to steamrolling in D5. D4 it's all about players. D3 is about winning and managing GS
D2 and D1 are about becoming a king in BB. That's what I know. So fa but still learning.......

Lest you think that I am picking on you, I am not. I am merely calling you what you are. A noob.

You are a noob NOT beacuse you are young.

You have played less than 2 seasons.
You are still in division 5, meaning you have not won anything.

This does not make you a bad guy.

You may be this games next prodigy. You just need to wait until you are proven before other people should listen to your advice. You mentioned that you are learning from the Professor. That is good. Go back to school and learn from the Professor and other mentors and soon you will have an advanced degree in success.

I don't care if someone is 8 years old and wants to give advice. All I am saying is that 8 year old better have a history of success.

When I started this game I had a lot of crazy theories. Some of them have been dead on and have led to my quick rise through the ranks of the USA. Many of them led to failure and disgrace. But after proving them out I can say which things worked and which did not. And I can say that from a position of success. If someone in division 4 or 5 wants to know how to get to division 3 I can lay out a blue print of how I got here.

But people in division 5 giving advice is like Junior Varsity players giving advice on how to make it to the NBA. IF you want to know how to improve don't listen to your friends who play JV ask a Pro.
