That's why I line them up by my gut. Also I haven't had better than 10th pick in any draft. So I personally am not always lining up the highest ball guys first. Unless you have a great pick and that security sense it is a crap shoot anyways.

Odds are almost as equal drafting player #26 1st every year

Wouldn't it be better to pick for example a very tall PG with high potentia (4+) and star rating (5) and then train him a a Center or PF? So you have decent secondary skills from the bat.

Erm.. I think you misread what I said, I never spoke about their assigned positions. I just said to pick the height based off the position you want to train. ie 6'0" for guard or 7'0"+ for big.
