There is a pack of teams using this strategy...It's silly petty and cookie cutter, but not necessarily against the rules.

I didn't say it's against the rules, I say it should ;)

I think he is referring to the fact that the team is using same method as all other succesfull Chinese teams: Buy 18y olds with high potential (8+) right after the draft for cheap, when number of "very good, but not great" 18y olds is the greatest, thus driving the price down (supply & demand rule). Train them in various skills so they become attractive to other managers and throw them on TL a season later. Actually in some cases, those trainees get back on TL after only 4-5 weeks of good training.

Then they use this profit to finance their own team and to buy new 18y olds.

I may try this strategy once I finish with my two trainees. If you can't beat them, join them...

Well I noticed this trend with Chinese teams only, the leader being:

I added him to my buddies few seasons ago to see when is he buying players, how often is he selling them etc...And with 32M profit, I guess he is going for a record attendance in his arena. I know I'd be doing far more competitive things with 32M, but to each his own.

i dont like the BB market..it prefer user with wide open time windows

why not putting a fee in the game for listin players on the transfer market, regardless if the owner sold him or not...that would make it so much cooler ;)

I think your description of the problem is the best I've seen so far. It's been happening in another RL game I've been playing for 10+ years and the results were the same: It drove away the young enthusiasts. The damage 5 such teams can do is very big over the span of many seasons and it makes sense to make rules that make their "job" harder.

Behind the fact that they are not playing "fair", if they are indeed causing the departure of several new teams (and dommaging the whole game as a counsequence), the day-traders should be considered as cheaters, or at least the limits on it should be higher.
