I know that it is hard and complicated but if you choose your PG to play 30 min he might play 35 or 25 and also the idea of using percent time for every quarter will work better and you will not have the problem of overtime...I believe that this could be a good change and it will benefit us so we could measure better training minutes.I hope we discuss this subject further and finally see this change become true.Thank a lot!

there is a very fine art and high level of skill in managing game shape, training minutes, training strategy and winning games during the 3 games in the week.

For me, this skill, is one of the fundamental parts of the game and once you get good at it, allows you to become better than your opponents.

So my point is, is that once you understand all these concepts, it becomes easier and easier to make sure that your player gets the desired number of minutes in the week.

If there was a facility to make sure bench players get subbed on after X amount of minutes - then that makes the game too easy! If this was the case, there would be no need for game shape management, don't worry about the 48+ for training mins because everyone will get them, forget stamina, forget having to buy extra players during your cup run forget etc etc etc etc....

essentially you can see how many intricate game concepts are affected by this variable. The fact that, as you play the game, you get better and better at doing this, means that it is a reflection of your management skill and, this is a management game right?

So whilst it would be nice to have a magical button that says 'substitution now', I think you will agree, that, once you know how to manage your game minutes, you will become better than your opponents and will agree that having this variability in the game, is actually a good thing :)

I play this game for 7 months and i love it as it is...but i believe that changes should be come...i dont know if the suggest is good enough cause i dont have much experience.I believe that you are right about managing ability for game shape and training and many new managers dont know how to do this.I already have my excel and i scheduled all my training plans and all my scouting calculations for my opponents. Thanks a lot!

well, let me put it this way.

in Australia, during the games, there are about 10 users who come into chat and are online and watch the games, and probably another 30 that arent in chat. so thats 40 users.

and those 40 are never the same. it varies a lot, but lets just say its the same 40 users.
Now - the aussie community has around 427 active teams. so thats only 10% that come online during the games.
so if you introduce live substituion, only about 10% of people will use it.
So the suggestion only caters for 10% of the BB population. Is that fair do you think?
The game is a management game, not a live interaction game, there are other games that cater for that ....(. Im about to buy NBA 2k14, to play live interaction. )

and basically, this suggestion has been suggested for abouot the last 4 years, since Buzzerbeater ever began. if you search the suggestion forum's you will see it suggested hundreds of times and it has never been done and never will be. This game just isnt meant for live interaction.

I completely agree about the management side of it and getting good at managing game shape is a skill and can give you the upper hand over your opponent. I'm wishful thinking really that there could be some kind of feature to use when watching a game, just to give me a reason to watch a game live. At the moment it's as if the games are already predetermined as soon as the tip off commences, which just kills the whole excitement of watching a live game for me. But I understand not everyone can watch their games live. Oh well! A man can dream ;)

ironically enough, the games are pre-determined when you are watching them! lol

you may not know, but the game engine for your game is actually run 15 minutes before the game is 'shown live'. This is why you can't change tactics in the 15 mins leading up to the game.

There also used to be a bug (not sure if it still exists) where if you are playing a cup game, the $50k will appear in your bank account, before the actual 'live game' is finished, thus meaning you have won your cup game.

So yer, the fact that the game engine is run in advance of you watching the game, this is also a pretty good reason for not having lve substitutions.
